1. 1. I think she's hot. *GAG DOLL* LOL ^_^ I don't say a girl is ugly just because I think she's snobby and untalented. That's just retarded. Anna Nichole Smith however is sickening. 2. IE IS BAD/EVIL/DEMONIC!!! 3. Firefox is good. Opera is good. IE is BAD. Too many threads out there proving IE inferiority and things in both FireFox and Opera that people like more than others...so its pretty fair to make blunt statements at this point. If you don't use IE, then you're ooookaaayyy.... Cheers, Jeremy
2. Right click > Save Target As (I think...since I don't use IE I use Firefox which is much better).
3. Bah, what bloat!
4. Mac, I'm asking for a friend. Come on, you've seen what I know in the nLite forum. C'mon...
5. I edited my response because I feel I was too harsh. I'm sorry.
6. Just watch them in any modern media player and press Shift+Enter.
7. Does anyone know of any sort of application that's small, lean and can capture images from a digital camera providing that the proper driers for it are installed? Thanks, Jeremy
8. Office XP? I use OpenOffice. Free and much smaller and more customizable. I love it. Does everything officeXP does and probably a bit more. www.openoffice.org
9. AVGCC.exe is the Control Center. I don't think that's the scanning function itself. What about "AVG.exe"?
10. The banner ads? You can remove those by going into the View menu in the program! Also, it's only v1.2, not v7.02. Give the author(s) some time to improve it. I viewed a huge PDF file from Google results and it looked fine. It's just a PDF file, don't be so picky...its not like its Video.
11. 1. Why not just bookmark it? 2. Why not head over to Firefox's forum and ask the experts there? Cheers, Jeremy
12. You're welcome. That site is the Source as far as Audio and Video go. Everything from the most basic stuff to the most advanced aspects of Video, Video Editing, DVD, Newbie Conversions, Advanced Conversions, things about Video you won't know existed, etc. It's interconnected with every other worth while site on the net. You will learn much if you just look around. Once you get to the guides, I don't think you will have to ask anymore questions. Cheers, Jeremy
13. Of course its possible! Why wouldn't it be? If you don't have a DVD Burner than you need to burn the CD as a VCD or SVCD and need a DVD Player that supports those video modes. There are only a thousand programs that you can use. You can use VirtualDub and TMPGEnc. They work in conjunction with each other. I don't have guides off hand but go to www.videohelp.com and look around.
14. Norton =
15. It's the best for you. Just like p2p's and web browsers, it boils down to one's preferences. I don't have to waste HD space and memory on firewall software because I have a router. But to say something is the best without backing it up with amazing unparelleled features is very biased and not a good means of stating what is good software.
16. PerfectDisk No Question.
17. If I was to get AV, I'd use Kaspersky.
18. I like Shareaza because I only download the odd song now and then and the odd application. So its simple for me and its a small enough task for the p2p to handle. I don't want to DL a GB in a day and upload 100 connections at once and say "Well, any p2p that can't do that with maximum efficiency isn't worth the time of day!" For me, Shareaza is enough for what I want to DL. However, the SP2 prevents me from using Shareaza... Cheers, Jeremy
19. Yes, Opera and Firefox are both great browsers. Firefox has been plastered all over Google News in the past two months and Opera has seen little of that, but they are both similarly secure if not equally. Mostly the absence of ActiveX Controls to thank for that. Honestly, it boils down to one's preferences. I like Firefox, my girlfriend likes Opera. My friend likes Firefox, you like Opera. There's always going to be that little nook in something that's not there in the other or one big feature that has one drooling over themselves. See what I mean? Someone who barely uses the net other than to check their Hotmail and read the news and open E-Greetings isn't going to say "IE is the worst and most bloated browser out there!" because they probably don't care about what things look like as long as it gets the job done. Someone that goes to a million porn sites and clicks yes to all those "weird things" is going to want to throw IE in a box and bury it a mile away in someone's backyard. Other people who have the computer-smarts are going to have an "advanced" perspective on things when it comes to the optimal browser. I like customizability myself and FireFox gives me a lot of that. So here I have it. Cheers, Jeremy
20. It is a program that increases the size of the xp installation so that it takes up all the space on a cd or dvd.
21. ........... Oh my f......
22. Hi, I've been experimenting with LiteStep themes lately but everytime I try to use one, a module won't load but the GUI looks ok. The ones with desktop icons won't allow me to actually move the icons and customizing one of them lacks user-friendliness and this is irritating. Does anyone have any good recommendations for shells? I'm the minimalistic type guy. I'd like to have something similar to how XP looks (System Tray, QuickLaunch, Task Bar, Desktop Icons). Any replies would be great. Thanks, Jeremy
23. I made my first ISO on June 26th. Nuhi, what version was nLite at that time? 0.95.x right?
24. I just started looking at alternative file manager and shell to get rid of explorer.exe seeing how it always gradually eats away more and more memory until it gets to 20 MBs. I think that's ridiculous. You have to open Windows Explorer and minimize it to make the memory usage go way down again but it gradually climbs right back up again in like 5 minutes. I like Xplorer2 Lite for a file manager but now not so much because I am unable to delete folders directly from the tree view. I found one minimalistic theme for LiteStep which works the first time I use it but once I reboot, certain modules for it fail to be found and the Task Menu (aka system tray) doesn't work and it irritates me. All I really want is an explorer.exe-similar shell that doesn't increase memory usage over time. I use this website for looking at different themes: http://skins.deviantart.com/themes/litestep/ Can anyone recommend any other cool minimalistic shells?
25. That's exactly what Microsoft is. A More Difficult Life Overall. After 10x major code rewrites, it's 4 times harder than it was in the previous and they still can't get things right. That is exactly why I avoid M$ entirely. If I met Bill Gates in real life, I certainly would not shake his hand. I'd probably put him in a wrist lock and hope that one of his stupid body guards wouldn't try to smash me over the head with a biton or something. Anyway, freeware applications made by people who believe in freedom and convenience. Google up: 1By1. Nice small proggie that I use. Takes 1.4 MBs of RAM when in use. Cheers, Jeremy
