1. Thanks. I only wanted the Driver.
2. I integrate these drivers with nLite. I downloaded the display drivers only, extracted the contents and have a folder called "2KXP_INF". This folder has two INF files, a .CAT file and a configuration file. There is also a subfolder with DL_'s, EX_'s in it. Do I need the subfolder or just the main one for my drivers to be properly integrated? Cheers, Jeremy

Need Help On

As far as the screenshot goes, those are all normal files.
4. If you want the odd ones, go for FileTopia. Newest of all and oldest of everything else. Chat rooms and rules too. Quite political over there.
5. There's a thread somewhere in this section of MSFN that shows the results of the spyware appz. Out of ALL of them, M$ gets the most.
6. totoymola, to remove IE in XP, use nLite. You cannot disintegrate, but you can remove all files from your install. I don't have a trace of IE on my XP Home SP2 nLited. graysky, currently nLite can remove nearly 150 individual components. I keep four of them. My Dell OEM XP Home SP1 w/ SP2 integrated via nLite results in a 571 MB source. nLite reduces that by 471 MBs, resulting in 100.48 MBs, excluding integrated Drivers. Two of the components happen to be IE and the IE Core. These components have been upgraded twice in nLite because of other files being discovered to be associated with IE. Enough info? Visit nLite forum. Cheers. Soulin, whose flaming? It is not that Firefox or Opera are more secure than IE. Well, they are, but there are more factors. 99% of the malicious things online these days (with IE still dominating 89% of the market share) are coded specifically to attack some vulnerability in IE. Once Firefox and Opera become more popular, than 0.50% or 1% or whatever percent of the malicious code will be directed at those. However, hopefully by the time that happens, Firefox and Opera will already be steps ahead in the matter of security. Cheers, Jeremy
7. Ego or Eggo? Too much syrup! Whoooaaa! Nice tips in the beginning of the thread, anyways... Nominous, I see you decided to do the typical immature sexuality preference of the other poster for the sake of making yourself feel like you successfully "dissed it out". Well, congratulations on making yourself look like an id***. This is MSFN Unattended, not grade 6.
8. To hell with DivX. XviD is better. Here we go? What's better than XviD? MPEG-2.
9. Been using SnagIt off and on for years...
10. I won't ever touch IE again. Never. M$ doesn't know the meaning of security. I use nLite to remove 420+ MBs of bloat from Windows (Which includes includes everything to do with IE except for the hardcoded deep-down kernal-thingamabobber integration). I use Firefox and my girlfriend uses Opera. Both of our PCs are nLited. Most people have between 1.0 - 1.5 GBs of stuff in C:\WINDOWS\. I have less than 250 MBs and less than 300 MBs once everything of mine is installed. The good thing about that is that it's 50 MBs of stuff I intentially put in there. Not M$ bloat. I recommend everyone on Win2k, XP and Server 2003 to use nLite, not only because it removes bloat but if you really want to get rid of IE.... it's the best.
11. Use Firefox or Opera. Do not use IE.
12.
The one the only FireFox. IE7 beta will be coming out this summer. That could easily be better that FF.
Yeah, right...
13. Well, at this point I think this thread is finished. Some people prefer XP Defrag, O&O, Diskeeper and PD. Pick your pleasure. Cheers.
14. I'd say so he could compare the two as their development progresses. That's why I'd do it.
15. You can't specify a desired bitrate with AudioGrabber. CDex is more professional, anyway.
16. Sonu27, you must not give a flying crap about the optimization of your HD, then. PerfectDisk is undeniably the best Defragger out there. This is not a biased statement. The PDF file and happy customers and others switching to PD proves it definitely. Cheers, Jeremy
17. God didn't make the choice you made, you did. So thank yourself. Someday Firefox and Opera users may have to beware of spyware. But hopefully while 89% of the market share is dominated by IE to continue attracting malicious coding morons, Firefox and Opera will have the opportunity to increase their security measures as to be 3 or 5 steps ahead of spyware. I have 0 spyware, 0 viruses, very few ads, and 0 pop-ups. I'm satisfied with my browser.
18. I like the old one better. This one reminds me of a Metallic XP. No more user stars? C'mon!
19. Firefox doesn't uninstall its own plugins. it downloaded the Flash Plugin and detected my QuickTime Alternative just fine...

Ninjai...

Hmmm... I apologize. I'll check out the chapters later today. Cheers, Jeremy

Ninjai...

Obviously, I wouldn't post something if I thought I was wasting my own time. Well, that depends on my mood and the circumstance. What views? There's only one vote in your poll! How can poll views exist before the poll does? I am quite tired so feel free to teach me something here if I have overlooked anything obvious. It's got nothing to do with my age. I thought you were referring to some Japanese anime love story which ended in some bizaar twist, lol. Of course, I didn't view this "Ninjai", nor do I have any desire to. Anyway, by "General" I was referring to something that more people actually knew about (not meaning that just because I don't know about it, that others don't, so don't assume). It seems rare, that's all. Not common. Anyway, if you wish to drag this debate any further, PM me. Cheers, Jeremy
22. .......... luckyNYboy, it is Messenger Spam. Disable the Service it is useless. Next time you use nLite, remove the Service.
23. I'm on SP2 without hotfixes and I experience no problems. Than again I remove 410+ MBs of M$ Bloat (from the Install CD, not C:\WINDOWS)with nLite. Most people get 1.0-1.5 GBs in C:\WINDOWS. I have like 230+ MBs currently.
24. horsecharles, I fully agree with you that antispyware and antivirus software is utterly useless for people with common sense!
25. I just use nLite on XP Home SP2, get rid of 460 MBs (currently) of M$ bloat and use Firefox and get 0 spywarer and therefore don't even have to bother with anti-spyware programs. Cheers. Looks like I'll be recommending M$ Antispyware to others now. Adaware and Spybot really aren't that good, it seems...
