vLite wont remove anything from your build unless you tell it to do so.

Im waiting for April 2009 when Vista images with SP2 integrated are released by MS.Besides i currently have installed most hotfixes that are in the SP2 anyway.

Such error could also occur when you have integrated Vista RTM language pack into Vista SP1 image.Use only SP1 language pack!.Integrating older version(RTM) LP will corrupt the iso and produce same or similar error in that exact installation phase.

Ill try to be patient with you as you seem to have little clue what youre doing here. *Create a empty folder. *Download and Install universal extractor. *Download Everest or some other utility that shows what hardware you have. *Go trough the list name-by name and go to the manufacturers website(no not Dell) to download newest drivers for specific devices the hardware utylity shows you. *Make sure all drivers you downloaded are in the folder you created earlier. *Some files are folders that contain .inf and other files - these are ok. *Most drivers are single .exe file.Rightclick on the exe and choose uniextract to subfolder (Universal extractor created nessesary shortcuts earlier into contect menu). *Now in vLite integrate tab choose multiple driver folder .vLite should choose all correct drivers and thats it.

Will it pass the vista sp1 driver signing check? I think it won't.. It wont.U need to use ReadyDriver Plus

Well the easyest way(if you can call this easy..) would be to download Vista RTM edited usbport.sys and compare the differences with original non-edited Vista SP1 usbport.sys(with hexedit program).Then hexedit the nessesary bits in SP1 file and save.

No MPG thumbnail for me either.Doubt its something i removed.Other thumbnails are ok.Including DIVX.Using K-Lite Codec Pack(latest).

Component removals seemed to work.Hotfix integration etc did not(for obvious reasons) I made the ISO.Just needs testing

Removed Run As .Now seems i need it.Is it possible to add it back into rightclick menu?.If not then can you suggest some other program that has similar function?

I can already remove fonts by deleting them from windows image(gimagex and install.wim).Although i doubt there would be any performance gain from it

Question to topic starter:what games crash?.Are the games patched to the latest version?. Possible causes could be Parental Controld and/or Games Explorer.Atleast a few people have reported problems with those things removed. Now about the reboot loop issue:just keep the hotfixes you use.I mean why integrate hotfix for Windows Mail if you have it removed?.If youre not sure if you need this hotfix then keep it.Also integrate all hotfixes BEFORE removing anything.Rebuild and then open again to remove stuff.helped me cause i was buggeb by the reboot loop issu for a long time too.See if you integrate fewer hotfixes you also decrease the posiibility of the reboot loop to show its ugly face. Also word of caution!!!:do not install updates from windows update to vlited vista.You might find yourselt staring at blank screen at startup with no way to roll back latest updates and youll have to to clean install.

Sorry to say this but x64 integrating SP1,integrating hotfixes and removing components is not possible on a x86 operating system.On your current OS you can make these changes only to 32 bit Vista Enterprise.I suggest you install vanilla(default) x64 Enterprise and do the vliting in there and then install the vlited version. Also i would not suggest trying to install SP1 to vlited vista as when some critical components are removed SP1 install fails.Best to integrate SP1.reopen image and make the changes.You cabn find SP1 integration guide here: http://www.msfn.org/board/Tutorial-Build-W...-D-t114957.html
