  1. The minimum ISO size should stay the same as with 1.1.6. Yep the unsigned drivers warning remains as a major annoyance(though im investigating a way around that)
  2. Note to Nuhi! Please specify the Function Discovery service in changelog as there are two services with similar name: *Function Discovery Provider Host *Function Discovery Resource Publication As the first is started manually on all Vista editions i am assuming you are referring to the second?.
  3. 1.2 is out? .Where have i been living?
  4. Tomorrow

    Help needed

Can you send me a PM on how to make it unattended?.I have also removed the x64 stuff but its still ~500MB.Would be nice to remove even more from there.Stupid help files,PE and so on...
  5. I will.Be patient.These things take time.And i have to go to work too .+social life .
  6. !Minor Guide Update!. Changelog: *Updated DirectX link to latest release(June 6).
  7. Did you add hotfixes to ISO with vLite?
  8. I dont know.Works much better for me that XP.XP was BSOD bugged for me.And on my current PC i cant even install XP.It justy wont freakin install lol.nlited or not.But im ok with it.I like Vista much more. Its a modern OS .
  9. Original problem:maybe Event Log? Second problem:problably Printers-HP as your printer may use parts of the integrated drivers. Please test and let u know.
  10. Hmm.Thats odd.The part about it takes 1.15GB out of 2GB.Granted my install is a lot slimmer but under normal conditions never goes over 750MB.
  11. You might wanna test in Virtual PC to see if the error occurs there too. Also check your BIOS settings and make sure DVD drive is selected as first boot device.
  12. Yep.Its merely a shortcut
  13. Since this obviously is a bigger problem i suggest you get a image that contains only english language with SP1 preintegrated and integrate finnish language pack into it as i suggested obove. The image will be smaller and you wont have any unnessesary languages. If you dont know how to obtain Vista image with SP1 preintegrated then contact me by PM.
  14. You have Vista HP with 36 lang SP1 integrated?.And you want Finnish language?.Download the separate Finnish language pack and integrate with vLite. Then you can choose Finnish or English language during install or after install(as explained above). You may have misunderstood the meaning of 36 language SP1 a litte.By integrating it means that 36 languages are supported and can be integrated but those languages(language packs) are not integrated within SP1.SP1 merely adds support for those.Hope this clears things a little. Also when you integrate Finnish language pack you need to do this only once. The language pack should be applied to all editions. If you want to go the safe way then you can first remove all other editions exept Home Premium.Restart vLite and integrate the LP.That way its ceratin that it will be integrated into single edition. You can download the specific LP from here: Finnish 32bit: http://depositfiles.com/ru/files/4501076 Finnish 64bit: http://depositfiles.com/ru/files/4521599
  15. Drivers are integrated into install.wim(windows image)witch is then repackaged and compressed. As install.wim itself is alredy heavily compressed then yes...in a nutshell you can say drivers you integrate are also compressed.
  16. Please attach your Last Session.ini file and tell us what PC Suite version are you using?.
  17. Not much point in that.Download WinRAR.Extract the ISO to harddrive and use vLite to choose the extracted files.

  20. In 32bit they all have the 4GB limit but Home Premium still supports 16GB.I think the motherboard itself is a bigger issue here(most desktop mobos support 8GB max).
  21. Image corrupt?.Please re-download Vista from MS.
  22. Try .msu first. It should work fine.If it doesent then .cab.
  23. Modifying this file (oobe.jpg) only changes the install screen AFTER the contents of the DVD have been moved to the hard drive. The same holds true if you modify spwizimg.dll (both in Sources and in install.wim: windows\system32). There MUST be a file in boot.wim that can be modified to change the install screen you immediately see, but I have examined EVERY .dll in boot.wim to no effect. I have also changed the winpe.bmp (in boot.wim: windows\system32) to my own custom bitmap to no avail. My question: How can you change the install background you immediately see as the DVD boots and the first "Installing Windows" window comes up? --radigast As i specified then this image is responsible for the background of user creation etc during install. When it comes to the first background when you boot the DVD then as Innocent Devil explained its a bit more complicated. But dont worry. It should be in the next Guide update. Also im announcing a new tweak for next Guide update!:Change/delete the shining Vista orb during startup(before login screen) .
  24. Hmm.Im also getting random hangs few times a week(always happen when PC is idle).I come and mouse doesent move...then i see everything has hanged up again .I will increase my RAM voltage as i too have all 4 slots populated(4x512MB+they are all overclocked).I will report back if the hangups dissapeared. Btw:Nice find on the 4GB fix .
  25. !!!Guide Updated!!! ...well after my hangover has finally passed now i was able to complete the edit Check in the "Making Changes" section near the bottom.Unfortunately there is a major problem with the Registry editor so if you know a solution lets us know. EDIT:Hive loading fixed
