Hmm.Does the error occur when you enter DVD and it says Loading Files? The error occurs right after it says 'windows is loading/copying file' in the command prompt-looking window. The bar goes full, and then the screen comes on and says that ntoskernal is missing. Won't go any further than that, and I think it's probably the same for him. Yep.You have the same issue as the other poster.Error is same and the place it occurs is same.Can you both attach Last Session.ini from the image root?

That should be Vista main Kernel(heart or brain if you will).Atleast as far as i know.Maybe check with (G)ImageX to see if it exists in C:\Windows\System32 ?.

No.The updates you manually download from Microsoft Download Center are in .msu format and with WinSxS removed installation of these is broken(not possible...exits with error).

When it comes to "My Videos", "My Pictures", "My Recorded TV Shows", etc then those can be deleted with vLite.Granted...the folders remain witch is annoying so easier to delete folders alltogether with Unlocker.

I doubt this user has a vlited vista(unless he downloaded some x edition from-god-knows-where).Anyway.Most likely he wont see SP1 in WU because the 3 needed updates are not installed and/or WU detecs bad drivers(such as old realtek audio drivers)
