So enable tweaks. You can enable them. You dont have to actually change anything(as far as i know). And it should now allow apply to rebuild only Ultimate.

1.Load Hive is greyed out in Host OS... 2.Well i have several apps configured:WMP11,IE7 and so on.I have exported their settings from registry so that when i install a new os i simply doubleclick the exported entry and with few clicks it will be integrated into Host OS registry. So no need to change any setting after clean install.Would be extremely useful if i could integrate these entries offline so i would have WMP11 configured out-of-box
-
Thanks.Much appreciated .One more question:do i have to start the regedit that is @ mountdir\windows or the one of the currently running host OS?.Also say i have several exported registry entries. Can i integrate them too?
-
So no point in intergrating this hotfix if i have MDAC removed anyway..correct?.
-
You can remove Windows Mail.Check Tweak tab in Vlite to turn off Autorun(Autorun itselt not removable yet but you can disable it).
-
Can you describe in detail how to do this?.Im planning on adding this to my guide .
-
What a nice lad who wrote that guide huh?
-
You can try verifier.exe from C:\WINDOWS\system32 I still dont get it lol.I know no such activation code.
-
Agreed.Would be nice to remove some more unnessesary junk(like someone with a Vista with SP1 integrated would want to de-integrate it? lol.
-
Nuhi said its in the todo list since vlite v.0.5 alfa but hes too lazy/busy to to this now.Maybe it will be in v.2.0.0 Nuhi?
-
When its done

1st Error screen:problem with winload.exe(windows loader) 2nd Error screen:you slipstreamed SP1 with vlite? 3rd Error screen:vlite v.1.1.6 RC did not have option to remove NET Framework and Final version added this option.Do not remove NET Framework and see if the 3rd error occurs now. Also your attached INI is the vlited build with RC.Can you attach the Final one?.

If you want to know what drivers are installed in your pc and to get the newest then go here: http://driveragent.com/?PHPSESSID=hrvda86kiemovc8mp5vkfr71a3 .Copying drivers from working PC or recovery disk is not so easy. They are already integrated and you are better off downloadin the newest drivers for your hardware. If by activation code you mean the XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX windows product key then yes.See the Unattended tab in vlite. There you can enter it and much more.

Integrate drivers and install the image to your PC and open Device Manager. When all your hardware recognized then its all ok.But with the current case...drivers will be integrated into the image and installed during Vista setup not sooner. Also that directory you found i problably some temp directory. I opened my device manager and none of the drivers are installed You integrated drivers into Vista and installed it and are currently using it?.Did you get popups during install asking to install this driver anyway?.

1)You need to find the nessesary drivers for your hardware yourself. 2)Yes you can integrate drivers only or service pack only.I strongly advise you to integrate service pack first(no other changes to the image) and make ISO.Then extract iso and restart the process...exept now you can integrate drivers, hotfixes and language packs. The guide how to properly integrate SP1 can be found here: http://www.msfn.org/board/Tutorial-Build-W...-D-t114957.html

Name of the hotfix please?.
-
Thats because a driver may require more than one .inf file to function properly(or at all) and vlite is just so **** smart hehe. For example: i have 17 drivers to integrate. You really think i will go trough the hassle of selecting one .inf for every single one and then click 10+ times yes to include other related .inf files?.No.I simply choose all the drivers with the Select Multiple Driver Folder option and with few clicks i have them in vlite.Thats why this option is in vlite.
-
Tested yesterday without server admin tools(KB941314).Still the same. Will test Hyper-V on Saturday.
-
Select Multiple Driver Folder in vLite when choosing drivers. It should incorporate all .inf files and shoh only the driver version in vLite.Be warned tho...if the driver is not whql certified you will get a lot of install this driver anyway popups during install(realtek drivers cause majority of such popups)
-
Hmm i wonder if the KB941314 could be related to my issues also: http://www.msfn.org/board/A-Hotfix-Update-...ot-t116962.html .Maybe i am able to integrate it but it causes an infinite loop.Have to test by leaving it out of the next build.
-
Check the running processes from task manager to see whats taking so much CPU resources.
-
Nope.Tested and still the same loop

Here it is: Last_Session.iniI must add that the hotfixes in this preset are not the same as those i tried now.The correct list is in the picture in this topic.Everything else stands as in the preset. Thanks for the help.I will also try the same build with the preset above without the language pack fix included and see if this resolves the issue. BTW:Also i tried all those fixes in VPC on a working install.Nearly all of them installed on an image with SP1 integrated so im 98% sure none of them are RTM hotfixes.Only Bitlocker didnt install but i didnt include it in the latest build that looped after install so its not the issue. All hotfixes are from Microsoft Download Center and are valid. Also nearly all of them are relatively new as i was specifically looking to include newest hotfixes not included in SP1.

Its a bit ironic in my opinion that now you can remove .NET Framework but vLite itself requires .NET 2.0 to install
