if you've just deleted the partition and not overwritten the drive at all, use this to fix it! http://www.cgsecurity.org/index.html?testdisk.html save my life a few months ago when i deleted a partition by accident! its a program that runs in windows, scans your discs and you can choose which disc to scan, then it'll find recently removed partitions

aegis, you should patch all the dll's with big images to contain simple ones.. like that XP2 properties box, can strip the useless ones out for lower footprint

can i install my xp mce oem copy on another machine? i bought it as an oem os from an online store for £80, realised my spec is high for an mce machine, so i'm swapping that kit for older stuff (diff motherboard, cpu, memory + ram) but will be formatting the old hard drive. am i able to do this? by calling ms during installation?

you could do that, but its already compressed so will still be massive you could copy it onto two cd's just split the folders, if it cannot find a file on one disc, it'll ask for it, then just but the 2nd disc in
