  1. you can get freeware viewers for office documents, check softpedia had a quick look and couldnm't see any on there.. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=EN this might help

    nothing should be realeased until vista is final imo, and by the sounds of things the vista preinstalltion tools look very good, they've listened to what users want you'll be able to slipstream hotfixes and drivers straight into the vista image
  3. i don't know if this affects it or not but in all the guides OEM is in capitals, don't think it matters tho..
  4. and dvd's take a lot more managing and a hell of a lot of time, an extra hard drive is a must tbh

  6. i've updated some parts of it, now i've got a switchless installer creator which patches the files after installing, and registers the filetypes as default i've made an S icon for split archives and will make a g one when my girlfriend goes home (up for the week) and will upload it to my webspace again the full size of the switchless installer that it creates is 1.27mb so still small enough to fit on a floppy
  7. if there's a filesize limit use 7zip to cplit the archive at 99mb in the split section, just type "99M" and it'll do it for you, easy

  17. yeah NEVER use software raid if you've setup the raid array in the raid bios, then it'll be an array until you remove a drive or undo it using the raid bios, so formatting doesn't affect it
