  2. hey mate, can you do a quick step by step of how to repackage it after replacing the files.. i always use 7zs.sfx, config.txt and a 7z file, with an Installer.exe inside that (i write the exe for each program that needs one) bit stumped here!

    Winamp patching?

Doing it myself now http://bleddyn.co.uk/forums/msfn/LE5_Blue.wsz the winamp skins just work as renamed zip files, so easy to patch the bitmaps of winamp can also remove a few, like the beta one which seems to be in official releases too -edit, there's a text file inside which needs to be used somewhere, to change the font + colour, can't find where it goes though :/
  15. aegis and space surfer are correct dos cannot understand spaces, so it needs "around the paths"
  16. if its not getting cooled properly a p4 will run a slow speeds check your temperatures in the bios
  17. the only one i keep is the map network drives the others i'd remove and not think twice about it map network drives is one of the about 10 things that i don't remove.. the rest is useless (to me )
  18. did you ever find where they're stored?

  20. omfg, where did you get that key from? nice post!
  21. i'm busy moving house this week, and my next operation is october 1st, but i'll look into your problem before that, please bear with me with tux's guidance, i've made a new 7zip installer for myself, but the one i made removes all txt files, the help files and the some of the formats that 7zip supports, so i can't release that as i'm sure it'll contradict the open licence or similar, i know little about licencing, the author of 7zip has asked me to include a GNU (i think it was GNU) message with my release, really don't know what that means tho!) need to read up on that before i do my next release

    Get themes back

download xpize and use that on your install
  23. you're doing something very wrong.. delete your XP folder and copy the files across and start again DONT copy the drivers into the xp folder, just have a seperate folder on C, like C:\Drivers, and copy the ones you want in there dont tamper with the NLDRV folder, after integrating drivers, it'll be created, and should only contain folders called.. 001 , 002, 003, 00X etc that'll be a folder shortcut? just delete it
  24. start, run control userpasswords2 tick the 'users must login with a password' button, click apply, then untick it and apply again it'll ask for new autologin details..
