  5. i've found that with some visual styles (yours dont do it), they remove the odd letter from some menu buttons, like most 'Finish' buttons appear as 'Finis', not sure what font makes them do that though

  11. any changelog since 5600?
  12. have they put standard mp3 support in yet?
  13. wmv is crap convert to xvid avi autogk can do it freeware -google it!
  14. have to fully agree with LLXX here monitors don't NEED drivers they just store the max refresh rate, which you can find out anyway
  15. + the bigger your first partition, the slower the part of the disk for your 2nd partition. the quickest part of the drive is the outer part, becuase it'll spin at the same speed, but the needle will cover more area (the same reason writing cd's speeds up towards the end) but it takes longer to actually find that part of the disc (so o/s is always put near the start of the partition)
  16. i reckon it might look better with a white coloured outline of a flag, with the windows colours in the flag.. vista on xp = tacky
  17. same here bmp only, not sure if its a windows issue or xpize issue thoughm will test later
  18. yup benchmarks show this slows your machine down (and you can see why) the say your os is at the start of partition 1, if things are paged, they'll be on the 2nd partition (if you've set it up like that), so the disk will be going back and forth to the start of the drive to the start of your 2nd partition me too, some of the larger folders in programfiles can be compressed to save a lot of space as long as your core files and ones you use everyday (like ff) aren't compressed, you're not going to notice the difference in speed
  19. lol weird one more to fix bill
  20. hmm, weird go into control panel, network connections, double click the connection tick the 'display in tray' box..?
  21. just format again, doesn't take THAT long, i've tried restoring components in the past, and its worth more trouble than good
  22. not sure how to help you, but i've never had anything like this happen with ccleaner, been using it for about a year now i think.. and on hundreds of computers you could try creating a new user account and see if that one is affected by it too?
  23. Go to Windows Security Center and disable choose not to monitor Virus protection.. yup and LLXX, tweakui can put windows version on desktop
  24. windows sp2 firewall + hardware router, no need for anything else no AV, no spyware protection is the way forward speeeed
