  8. i'm running tomato on that exact model (v2) awesome firmware, static dhcp is a godsend, and really simple to use wireless filter & security option had no problems at all, the best router i've ever owned use polarcloud website, and here's some good tutorials on the firmware too http://www.linksysinfo.org/index.php http://www.linksysinfo.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=160 edit.. here's a virtual test of the firmware (an older v) http://lampiweb.com/tomato/status-index.htm

    TinyXP

you'd be better off using windows 2000 with such little ram, that will struggle on that too mind.. i'd bump the ram up to 256 mb
  12. slipstream sp2 into your disc nlite will support it better and sp2 is more stable and a tad faster than sp0
  13. be warned, as nuhi has pointed out removing sxs breaks windows updates
  14. i meant the procedure itself, not bugging for xpize64 release date so i can make a new 7zip patcher

    Component Removal

just remove the ones you KNOW you don't need no harm in leaving some even if you don't need them...
  16. hate to do this, but bump?
  17. when slipstreaming a new SP, always do it to a clean source.. as in unmodified XP or XPSP1 or XPSP2 source
  18. personally i don't use it (yet) because i don't trust Vista as much as i trust xp, so don't want to add another possible problem creator.. hope you know what i mean
  19. probably easier to install it on a system, then store it in a zip file (with reg file if it needs one)
  20. on hard drive, create c:\xpcd folder copy all contents from cd to that folder point nlite at it

    Feature Request

services weren't introduced into nlite for quite a long time more and more features are getting added to vlite, it's just a matter of time before the services get added, it isn't something that has been 'forgotten' by the author in the meantime, you can do this.. sc config serviceName start=demand ^this sets it to manual OR sc config serviceName start=disabled ^this sets it to disabled
  23. let me poke a huge hole in your post.. SP1 isn't "rtm" yet, still beta/pre-beta
  24. antivirus/windows defender real-time scanning?
  25. keep directx and opengl, and firewall + its dependancies do it yourself, no-one knows what you run on your pc better than you
