  2. get 2x 1gb 3200 sticks
  3. dual channel really is a noticeable difference, check for bios updates for your motherboard, there might be one that allows 4gb addressing failing that, you'll either have to stick with 2gb ddr dual channel (get 3200 by the way, not 2700's) or upgrade mobo/ram/cpu to an am2 or a core2duo setup
  4. you're better off running 2x 1gb sticks in dual channel mode check here for uk bargins http://forums.hexus.net/forumdisplay.php?f=22
  5. just use acronis does exactly what you want, and can be automated really easily, has a bootable cd you can use to restore (can restore from network paths easily too) has an 'xp' interface so is dead simple to use do a google image search on it

you need to copy your vista cd to say "C:\Vista" or whatever folder you like, C:\Vista keeps things simple though, then point vlite at that folder..

i just hope that both 32bit AND 64bit versions with include the same patcher so all versions will work the same way... unless there's been a recent update, 64bit resources cannot be modified the way reshacker does at the moment.. no freeware commandline resource tools

in the options/patches screen, tick 'disable sfc' or to get rid of them in your current install by using this tool http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Windo...er/1106499902/1

  15. can't you just change the backup location?
  16. teracopy seemed to mess up just now when i tried copying a mounted iso's contents.. wouldn't select all the subfolders for some reason :? back to unstoppable copier for me
  17. they probably just use less error checking, so can copy quicker nice looking tool though, will have to use that currently i use 'unstoppable copier' for copying a lot of files over my hamachi network
  18. just put the files on a shared folder called \Music on the server, then map the drive as M: on each pc -good idea to give everyone read-only permissions to the folder, then when you want to add more to it, you could either have your own user account, or just remote desktop into the server to access shares from your own pc so you can copy across to it..
