  1. msoert2.dll is a Microsoft Outlook Express Runtime Library.Did you remove or otherwise disable outlook express? shark
  2. As soon as you test those scenario's and report back here we will all know the answer(s) My files arent extracted. They are an AIP. [explained in the tutorial(s)]shark

  4. QuickLauch shortcut still had Trade Mark symbol... And Shark how about more info on how you successfully get the StartMenuShortcut working. I had to export/import the ones from your beta 1 to get it to install the shortcut (BTW I removed the ) lol ... I have no idea about the StartMenu shortcut at this time because I havent downloaded BETA 2 yet. (dialup really sucks) I'll update that portion of the tutorial when I get my hands on the orignal MSI. rick, thanks for your assistance with this one, getting BETA 2 posted would have taken MUCH longer without your help. 20MB download on dialup with a 26k connection takes aprox. 3hrs to download. shark
  5. 7.4 (no quicktime) Multilanguage ... Posted on the main repository. shark
  6. Here is the new tutorial to modify the MSI from the 8.5 versions. I don't have highspeed Internet access so it may be a while untill I upload an editble installer for BETA 2. Maybe my buddy Ricktendo will take care of that. Let me know if the tutorial has any errors.... EDIT - tutorial moved to 1st post shark
  7. iTunes 7.4 English Only installer is available from the Main Repository. The MultiLanguage installer will be available within 24hrs. shark
  8. Since I only have dialup access, I'd appreciate if someone could download the latest iTunes (near 50MB) , extract the files from the installer, and make the iTunes.msi available for me to download so that I may update the distributed files. Thanks. shark
  9. All of the above posts were moved here at the EXPENSE of my time. Please DO NOT hijack other peoples threads in an attempt to advertise your own releases. You may continue to use THIS THREAD as a supplement to your original thread. Shark007
  10. If you're using a custom installation path for Firefox my plugin installer will fail. It's hardcoded to install to the default path. shark
  11. Updated the release, no crap involved. MAIN repository only. shark
  12. At this time, NO manufacturers sell PC's or laptops with Vista x64 pre installed. (unless specifically requested BEFORE purchase) If the machine came with Vista, its x86. shark
  13. Replacing the antenna will not make up for a lack of raw power. I needed more WiFi power. I already have a Dlink G520 internal PCI card. (very nice) I bought a USB WiFi adapter, EUB 362EXT and have been extremely pleased with my purchase and have not looked back. This little sweetheart has all the power I needed to get the job done. Some info on external antenna upgrades; I hooked these adapters to this antenna. As you can see, this is no usual home wifi system. Using this antenna, I connect to an AP provided by a Linksys WRT54G router that is aprox 2 Kilometers away. I aim the antenna just over the horizon because the AP is beyond it. The G520 could not do this reliably, the USB adapter does it flawlessly. To further add information, having decent drivers is a must. I did a lot of testing with different drivers from different sources. 99% of the time you will get the best results from manufacturer supplied drivers but this wasnt the case with the USB adapter and Vista. The manufacturer does supply a driver for 32bit Vista but the driver installed by Microsoft Update has better connectivity. shark
  14. For quite some time now I have been trying to track down what was creating an empty 'My Company' folder in Program Files. 'cyberloner' recently informed me that the shockwave installer I distribute was creating this folder. An update was released today correcting this issue. shark
  15. Try placing it into a different slot on the MotherBoard. Some slots share IRQ's and the current placement may be creating a conflict. shark
  16. That package is fine if you don't mind having pirated software on your computer. For those that want to avoid pirated software, install the Vista Codec Package. shark

  18. The English version is available on the main repository. Uploding the MultiLanguage from dialup will take a little longer. It should be available within 24hrs shark
  19. If real alt is installed before VCP, the VCP installation will remove it as a detected conflict. (since version 4.4.7) Media Player classic can be installed anytime, before or after VCP doesnt matter. about rstp url's, I was mistaken. MPC will play realmedia embedded into a RAM file but for rstp:// you need to install the full realplayer. sorry about that... shark
  20. Here are links to the sourceforge projects ... original MPC by gabest: http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/ Latest MPC Homecinima version by Casimir666: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mpc-hc/ As far as I know, no one is working on an x64 port (yet) shark
  21. because everyone's opinion of what to remove and not remove differs. This is released with generic files so you can replace the files within the WinRAR installer very easily with your own patched files and not be bothered by what someone else feels should be patched. If you wish to modify the msi installer to remove these items, by all means , go ahead.shark
  22. I'm not surprised you had problems. To install on an English system simply execute vcpack.exe at any time (with NO switches) The only switch that installer accepts is the [vcpack.exe transforms=xxxx] to choose an alternate language. shark
  23. Media Player Classic will play them. shark
