I've been creating this installer for a long time and its most prominent 'feature' is no video support. I've even renamed the shortcut to 'Winamp AudioPlayer'. Is there a reason you don't use the original 'lite' version directly from nullsoft with a silent switch? I'm not 100% sure but I think nullsoft installers use /S shark

Are you overclocking? If so, set it to defaults. Is your computer more than 8 months old and you live in an older building? your fans/heatsinks (esp. on the CPU) may be clogged and in need a cleaning. When cleaning with compressed air, do not allow the air to spin the fans. It will turn them to fast and damage the bearings/bushings. shark

If you asked over @ RyanVM's site in the general section what could possibly be the cause of these errors / missing files you'd get an answer pretty quick. Either something is adding the files to dosnet.inf/txtsetup.sif and shouldnt be or something is deleting the files from your source. One other possibility that may cause this is a corrupted source. The easiest way to eliminate this possiblity is to copy the entire source directory to a different partition. If there is a corruption in the source files the copy proccess will reveal it. shark

The file is constantly updated. If you MD5 your file against Ryan's, I'm sure it will not be the same. A good option would be on a new RyanVM updated installation, visit WU so Ryan's entries are retained and updated with the new entries that you need.Then replace Ryan's version with the new one you just created on you uA media. shark

If you use RyanVM's update pack this method of copying that particular file may cause a conflict because the updatepack already copies that file to your computer and your copy would negate Ryan's copy. I'm not sure what purpose Ryan has to copy that but most likely the same sort of thing, to satisfy WU but for another purpose. shark

This suggestion gets my vote. Helping others to create their own releases is a definate step in the right direction. Not to distract from you continuing your own efforts because many people just dont have the time or inclination to do all this on their own, and having work pre-prepared is often seen as a godsend. I personally haven't had the oppurtunity to install/test your work, but I do constantly follow your thread for information and responses from users. I also like your idea of starting a new thread for a new release. This will certainly help keep your threads readable and without to much clutter. I have run into this asms error several times in the past. For each occurance, the fix was the same, replace the cdrom drive. Luckily, they are not pricey items. shark

Links to my repository are in my signature. The signature can only be seen by logged in users. Most of the files I share with MSFN users are found there. I try to avoid posting the URL to my repository openly because I prefer people to use the manufacturers installation for desktop use. My files are switchless Installers meant for unattended use. shark

Most likely you have a corrupt installer.Try downloading it from a different site and dont use a download manager. You must uninstall any previous x64 codec installations BEFORE installing this comprehensive package. shark

The main repository and the mirror are 2 totally different sites although they share an identical blocklist. Your domain/ISP may have been added to the blocklist. If anyone from your ISP was attempting to direct link to my repositories the entire ISP gets blocked. I check server statistics twice daily and any suspicious activity gets permanantly blocked. This will not change. If you state what version (language specific) you seek, I'll upload it to a free file server for you. shark

Although this thread hasnt had a post in almost 2 yrs, the thread starter hasnt been logged on to MSFN in about the same period of time. Hopefully though, a current MSFN user will be able to assist you. shark

One user reported issues with it not installing the plugins properly for Mozilla browsers. I have not had time to test the scenario, so i took the URL down. There are a few alternate releases available over on RyanVM's board. shark
