This may exist in all versions. I'll need to redo the entire set. (18 releases) This behavior is purposeful. If a user attempts to install a downloaded FULL version they are forced to uninstall the current Lite version. I won't change this aspect. Using a FULL version to upgrade a Lite version causes problems so being forced to uninstall the previous version 1st is the correct path to take. shark

I am unable to re-create the issue with my local installation file{s). perhaps ... your download was corrupted? my upload is corrupted? (which server?) have you tried to download from the 'other' repository? I am on dialup and finding the corrupt file would be easier for you .... please assist. shark

The quoted link does indeed not work anymore. Perhaps you found out yourself already, but the links in Shark007's signature do work and the file is available there, as I just downloaded it from there myself I haven't installed it yet, but only took a look in the archive file and I noticed the file TitanLog.log, which I believe can be deleted from the archive. As for the file wlss.reg, the uninstall string at the bottom of the file hard links to the C-drive, which should be changed to %ProgramFiles% in my humble opinion. Nothing which I cannot do myself, but I thought I would let you know Shark007. of course you may change that path to a variable if you wish, but then it will no longer work. shark

I created this MSI installer - it isnt from adobe 1. Don't use a download manager. 2. Try the Mirror repository exactly how is that URL going to assist users to install this silently?This thread isnt about acquiring the original files, it is about installing the product unattendedly. shark

The distributed EXE accepts MSI switches. (most of my exe's accept MSI switches)example: iTunesEN7431.exe /qn ooppss, just re-read your request, silent uninstall... ummmm, I dunno at the moment. I'm usually trying to figure out how to get things installed... silent uninstall isnt a much used feature. shark

I have completed preparing 8.1.1 in 16 languages. Its just a matter of getting them uploaded. upoads complete.

The error is confirmed and fixed but, as usual, I'm on dialup so posting the new version will take some time. EDIT1 - new English version posted - fixed skins Currently the release is English only, I'll look into releasing a multilanguage version in the next few days. EDIT2 - a multilanguage version isnt going to happen. Many files must be replaced to change the language. shark

If you're going to evaluate a product you 1st need to set your personal opinion to the side. To sum up my evaluation, for anyone using Vista and prefering to use Nero products... The Nero 8 Suite is a must have upgrade that will finally stop you from pulling your hair out over playback issues. shark

It doesnt get any easier than this. utorrent is provided in a single exe file that doesnt require installtion or registry entries. 'uTorrent.exe' is the entire program, not an installer that uses switches such as /S Use whatever means you are comfortable with to place/copy that exe to where ever you wish to have it. create a shortcut for it if that is your desire. I suggest you look at how nuhi packages nLite in a WinRAR executable. This is a perfect example of how to use WinRAR as an installer which also creates shortcuts. shark

I have read your post. I think its an idea that may be useful to some people. The purpose of providing an 'editable installer' for WLM is not to remove files or reduce distribution size, it is to allow users to install WLM in corporate environments or with already patched files in a simple to edit installer. If your wish is to reduce the size of the installer by eliminating redundant files, by all means, pursue that choice. In the meantime I'll continue to assist people with getting WLM installed under circumstances not originally provided for with the Microsoft built MSI. shark

Although I havent tested it with QTLite I assume it will work. A better suggestion for a source of the Quicktime components is to use the Vista Codec Package which is developed by me right here on MSFN (sticky at the top of this subforum) and extensively tested to function with all your video's. VCP is XP compatible also. shark
