If this could be easily accomplished using orca I would have posted a tutorial explaining what needs to be done long ago as I have for Live Messenger. BUT, this isnt the case with iTunes. I used professional editting tools to create these installers. I will investigate the feasibility of using orca, but my initial thought is that this would be to difficult.shark

No it doesnt at this time. I recommend you download the integrated package, extract vcpack.exe from that package and simply cause it to be executed during the Vista unattended installation. If you need a language other than english, read the INI file for further information. shark

I'm glad to hear this type of installation is enough to satisfy your needs but as the package developer, I DO NOT RECOMMEND this proceedure. Please do not recommend this to others. A major drawback amongst others is the fact that this type of install defeats the possibilty of removing and re-adding components at will. If it is enough to have working codecs, by all means, continue as you were, but most users will want the full capabilities of this package. The recommended unattended installation is NOT an addon and has no addons involved, it is just a name for the package that the RVM integrator recognizes, nothing more. shark

I just tried to download the itunes 7.3 no quicktime but the link is down. Of course im not sure whether i am doing something wrong. switchless installer defined: execute=installed I cant make that statement any easier. A switchless installer is an executable file usually distributed in an EXE format. Use what ever means you are comfortable with to cause the EXE to b executed and no other interaction is required. shark

TO ALL: I am currently using dialup internet access and downloading almost 50mb for iTunes (a program i dont even use) is out of the question. I will update this distribution a.s.a.p. If someone wants to make this happen quicker you can download the new installer, extract iTunes.msi from it, 7zip it and place it on rapidshare with a URL here and MAYBE i can download that and use it to provide the update. @'Tasslehoff', sorry but I dont have any easy answers for you. The above proceedure is NOT RECOMMENDED because you will bypass pertinent installation commands. The recommended unattended installation for Vista is to extract and use the provided switchless installer contained within the integration file provided for XP users. Within this download is vcpack.exe and also instruction on how to use it for languages other than english. This installer does not require any switches. shark

None of what you ask is possible. But ... for you, I would consider a release tailored to your liking. Long standing MSFN patrons do get special consideration at times. Edit your post to your exact specs you wish to have (at this point, anything is possible except for placing a shortcut on the moon) and I'll create the release in an editable installer so you can upgrade it on your own by simply replacing the contained files. shark

If the Lite version isnt meeting your needs, remove the Lite version and use the Full version. shark

If you had / have other codec installations on your system, this would be the problem. If this is the case, remove everything codec related including VCP, reboot, re install VCP. Vista Codec Package contains everything you need to play all of your media files. shark

The problem you are experiencing is caused by the 32bit codecs you are using. Many 32/64 codecs share registry space. I suggest uninstalling ALL 32bit codecs and use the Vista Codec Package. Tried, tested, and true. Also, either reinstall the x64 package after installing the 32bit package, or reboot your system. shark

No, the file available on my repository is unpatched. I dont remember which tool i used to remove the sharing folder but it was probably apatch. I also used messbe's tool afterwards because it had some features i wanted that apatch didnt offer. shark
