OK Guys.. Calm Down I see everyones getting crazy about this product activation... put plain and simple... WinXp Pro Sp1, Sp1a, Sp2, needs no activation... if its corp.. the serial key activates it... As Far as Home Xp? well there is an activation Crack.. and a serial Key that works... I install home edition on computers all the time.. it runs flawless... even with sp2.... Now as Far as Our Good Ole Friend Windows 98Se? well why don't we just en all this stuff and someone go to microsoft, and immediatly after installing 98se.. Download all the Security Patches and Updates for the operating system along with the bundled IE browser updates... I mean I talking get the entire updates... let it scan... see what it needs, and is avaiable.. let t download... you know it goes into a windows update folder on C:? why not Zip it up.. someone get some server space and put this thing up for download..? its a good idea.. that way everyone can stop the hassle of the support issue for 98... no its ture they arent creating anymore updates, but they are supporting it until 2006? why not get the whole update bundle and put it up? everything else has a link to it here.. and since some peopel arent sure how to do it.. and don't feel like doing it.. why not put it in a huge Pack somewhere for download? its easy.. think about it guys... yeah i know.. in my winnt.sif i am not wanting unattended but yet user controlled... to where i make the administrator password, and create as many user accounts as i like with windows asking me for the names of the accounts.. i wanna get rid of the autologon.reg and the useraccounts.cmd and have my winnt sif ask me like windows origionally would... but yet after install still install programs like from the runonceex.cmd .... everything user controlled, just when i log in on the profile that I create at the windows user account screen.. it starts installing my programs... any light on this guys? i could probabley figure it out.. but i'm confusing myself...

yeah its at the beginning of installation at the 39 minute stage and no i'm installing from a cd on a home system

i'm installing windows xp pro with sp2 slipstream intergrated.... well at the 39 minute stage of install the very first? I'm getting a asms I/O error and tells me windows can't find one of the required components needed to install windows... anyone have an suggestions? all mod files are replaced and i've done nothing different than what I have always done... i tried one with enlight also with ryans vm pack and i still got the same error.. i can't take a screen shot of it cause I don't have virtual machine , this system I am on can't run it anyway... I'm working on another system thanks...

Does the Tweaks for Xp Pro and Home Work the same for each other... unless the tweak is otherwise noted being for home or pro? in other words.. can I use the same tweaks for home that i use for pro? i have seen websites that have a huge list of tweaks.. but on some tweaks its noted a link, for home and a link for pro? I asssume that WIndows Xp is XP regardless.. so i assume that most tweaks are gonna work regardless, unless like I said, other wise noted being for home or pro? someone get back with me on the small but annoying issue... thanks B

what do you mean? it just wont' activate? pro doesnt give me this problem

I tried... its in my winnt.sif its not working? although Pro wroks... home doesnt... i can do what I want for 30 days on home.. but then its gonna lock me out... just wondering where I went wrong..

I have an old version of windows xp home which is slipstreamed with sp2 i used a valid key to install , everything went great.... but its still telling me that i have 30 days to activate...? am i doing something wrong? B

I have a version of Home Edition without any updates what so ever.. I was wondering if the modifieds for sp2 pro, would work for home edition slipstreamed with sp2? not sure if it would cause a conflict or not.. does it change the operating system over to pro when you slipstream sp2 into home? would a regular sp2 key be used or what?? if someone can shed a little light? id appreciate it.. i got the cd boot image for xp pro and home and have the sp2 ready for slipstreaming , but don't wanna do alot of work for nothing.. so someone please.. enlighten me if at all possible.. i'm confused on this procedure... hey dude check it out i have a version of home edition without the sp1 sp1a, or sp2.. i'm watning to slipstream it with sp2.. will those modified files for pro, work just as good with home edition? reg entry's for the modifieds.. ? and another thing.. does it change the home edition if you slip stream the sp2 into it? does it turn it over to pro corp? do i use a sp2 key just as i do for the sp2 pro? get back with me asap. id appreciate it.. Hey I have A Question regarding this issue too... althought we know the basic reg file and the cmd to setup your account for auto logon with usename and password.. but as far as not havieng a password on your account or administrator? the administrator pass is set or either ignored by an astriks "*" in the winnt.sif... so i got that part figured out but if I didn't want a pass on the user account.. what would i avoid putting in on the useraccounts.cmd, or the autologon.reg... anyone know? thanks B

Ok Guys, heres the deal, i'm looking for everything and , with all the posts just getting bigger, who ever reads this, i hope they can understand where i am comming from.. everyday files are uploaded and its this version and that version, so most are not really sure what they usually download. to cause less confusion.. can someone from here, at least , post a zip, of all the files for build 2180 RTm Sp2 that work... if possible or if everything is even figured out... not sure what i am downloading with all the post i have read... but i am looking for... sfc_os.dl_ 2180 ( hex edited for wfp to be disabled, and the crc fixed for cd ...and with the reg file for disabling windows file protection) can't get mine to work..and I downloaded it from here...) so not sure... sfcfiles.dl_ 2180 ( this files has something to do with being edited for taking annoying folders out that are copied be defualt r something.. not sure what, if you know, please help! and please post the correct one that works in conjuction with the hacked sfc_os.dl_ correctly..(i'm sure someone knows what I am talking about) tcpip.sy_ 2180, (if solved) (also, hex edited for unlimited connections and the loop problem fixed. as well as crc header fixed for placing on cd...) termsrv.dl_ 2180 (if solved) (edited to allow concurrent users, with of course the correct reg file that works in conjucntion with it...and hex edited, and crc fixed for cd placement as well... uxtheme_dl_ 2180 ( for using themes, need the correct one for 2180, with header fixed, and hex edited and all that good stuff... ) Hivesft.inf 2180, (i'm sure this is simple since its already posted on the main site for the unattended, but have heard so many different ways to apply the setting , so not sure,, someone needs to clear this up and make sure we have it right... just thought i would toss that at ya.. so don't get Po'ed... if we can get a definate package together, i think it would help everyone without haveing to serch and scan through millions of posts and pages... after all arent we also into makeing things easier on the message boards as well as unattended installs? not being bossy, just looking for the right stuff... id appreciate any help possible.. to make things easier for the people here who are looking for the same thing... hope we can get somwhere... thanks all and keep up all the good work...
