OK, me again! I hope I'm not jinxing it, but Panda Dome seems to be working properly again now for me on XP. I hadn't had a stop and restart of the main service for a few days, so yesterday I removed my shortcut files exclusion. All still seems to be working fine. Can you confirm this @Tangy? Whether they have fixed it as a result of our reports or whether they realised the problem themselves, I do not know. I just hope now that it keeps on working! It does look as if XP support is still a thing for Panda Dome, at least for now! Cheers, Dave.

I just tested New Moon 28 32-bit 20260815. GitHub Assets opens, but unfortunately, it uses 100% CPU, which doesn't return to normal, and the whole browser is blocked as long as the GitHub page is the current tab without any new error messages in the Browser Console, probably as the tab is dead. That means this version is also useless to me. So for now, I'll stick with the New Moon 28 32-bit 20260627 version.

It Seems a Lot Like Dead Internet Has Actually Come True "Agentic AI activity is driving a lot of the browser activity you're seeing." By Frank Landymore Published Jul 28, 2026 https://futurism.com/artificial-intelligence/dead-internet-theory-come-true The infamous dead internet theory was originally a conspiracy that posited that the vast majority of the internet was run by bots and thinking machines. Most accounts you saw online were really bots masquerading as people - all part of some nefarious scheme to control humankind by keeping us isolated and divided. That last part is far-fetched, but the core of the idea - that bots outnumber humans online - is inexorably starting to feel weirdly grounded. Fortune did a roundup of the latest data on the makeup of internet traffic, and most of it points to humans now being a quaint minority. "There’s a lot of missing pieces of information, but a lot of the observed data suggests the same thing, which is like there is more bot activity," Rudy Yang, a financial tech analyst at Pitchbook, told Fortune. "Agentic AI activity is driving a lot of the browser activity you’re seeing." This should come as no surprise. Bots have been everywhere on social media for a while now, and more and more people are wielding little posses of AI agents to do stuff on the internet on their behalf, ranging from conducting research to shopping. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman infamously said he was worried that the dead internet theory was coming true last year, seemingly without a shred of self-awareness. Further corroborating this new paradigm, Cloudflare announced in June that 57 percent of webpage requests were being made by bots, marking the first time that bots made up the majority by its own metrics. I would like for you to replace the links for RogueKiller last XP compatible versions from generic web-site links to archived links with v15 and portable v16 on 32bit and 64bit. It's a shame that Panda is placing XP on guillotine right now, but to be honest, XP had a good run, 25 years of anti-malware support from various programmes. I am still using Avast on XP VMs and i feel relatively secure with COMODO Firewall Pro from 2007 version, and i have no complaints. I do not recommend the last version of COMODO Internet Security however, because it choked my old Celeron to the core when i tested 4 years ago...

I can actually browse GitHub in New Moon 32-bit (latest), but during page load CPU goes to 100% for a while and when that has settled down, clicking on something makes it go to 100% again... Scrolling reacts very slow. (XP SP3 VM; 3.5GB RAM; 1 core assigned)

OS: WinVista SP2 32-bit CPU: Intel Core2 Duo T5250 @1.50GHz (2008 era) I also tested the palemoon-28.10.7a1.win32-git-20260815-d849524bd-uxp-e5e0e958e3-xpmod package, actual buildID=20260813020130 Single release GH webpages like https://github.com/violentmonkey/violentmonkey/releases/tag/v2.47.1 open relatively easily/quickly and the page is responsive and scrollable; the relative timestamps and asset toggle previous issues appear fixed; trying to load the full list of Releases page, https://github.com/violentmonkey/violentmonkey/releases is not as smooth/quick; while the page loads, one CPU core is constantly busy, but after the page has been fully rendered, the CPU used by process palemoon.exe soon drops to 0-1%; the page is scrollable, but the scroll itself is NOT smooth... Please could it be possible to add the feature to set the text color of taskbar buttons? Eg. I'm using black Taskbar (set via "custom taskbar coloring") but I have to set the Dark mode of Windows to get the white text for taskbar buttons. I would like to have light theme for Windows, but it turns the taskbar button's texts into black, so it's unreadable, actually. It would be great to have something like the "Use custom taskbar text color" feature in SAB! Thank you very much.

It is difficult to say what (stupid) provision there might be that prevents you from restoring/recovery, Usually it is not very sophisticated (i.,e. it doesn't interrogate the hard disk for make/model as that would be a problem in manufacturing assembling lines when a batch of different make/model disks is provided and of course there would be the need to re-create different Recovery Discs for different batches). So, generally speaking the check is done: 1) on Disk's Signature (on the MBR) 2) on Disk's Signature AND MBR boot code 3) on some values in the MBR partition data 4) on some other "hidden" sector or partition A test that costs little (only some time and patience) would be, since you have the original hard disk AND the recovery disc work fine on it would be to make a forensic (dd-like) clone of the old hard disk on the new hard disk (same size or bigger) and see what happens with it. I wouldn't overdo it, at least for the test, i.e. if the original hard disk is a 250 GB, one, a clone on a 250 or 320 GB disk has more chances to work than a clone on (say) a 1 TB disk.

I implemented in my ProxHTTPSProxy's PopMenu TLS 1.3 3V3 package the tool Min2Tray which I therefore have been using for years. So I can minimise any other programme to the systray as well. That was the best I could find.

The tool I have been using for decades is Norton Ghost in version 2003 for very old disks with standard MBR ( no GPT, EFI or UEFI) and a more recent version 15.0 for a bit newer disks like SSDs. This is a programme that has always allowed me to clone my computers perfectly, without anything failing or going wrong. For modern computers, you’ll probably have to resort to Acronis, Macrium or Aomei if GPT with EFI/UEFI is in use. And to clone other partitions directly from my Windows XP, I have been using an older version of DiskGenius – a very good partition manager – successfully for years.

I'm running 22.03.05. There is a more recent version 23, but it appears that isn't XP compatible, as if you try to install it on XP, you actually get 22.03.05 instead. I had no reply from the direct Panda support people responding to the report forms I sent them, which didn't surprise me at all! Nothing from the people at AnyTech365 either, which did slightly surprise me as they seemed to be pretty good. They had said that they would let me know about ongoing support for XP.

Create a SSUAO for cloudflare.com, i.e. general.useragent.override.cloudflare.com with the following user agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:68.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/68.0 Test it and report here! And if that doesn’t help, try disabling uBO completely, i.e. the extension in the Add-ons Manager, if you’re using it. An uBO set too aggressively made it impossible for me to complete the CF challenges.

The links are still available on Adlice servers after editing to suit the users’ needs. I do not use COMODO Internet Security but COMODO Antivirus. This works fine with no impact on CPU. And my CPU is a single-core P4. I wouldn't recommend the complete suite COMODO Internet Security, either. You must always focus on the pearls and throw the by-catch overboard.

I've raised this with xper. Apparently it's bots attacking the server. Using something like (dare I say it) Cloudflare would probably prevent this, but that would cost a lot of money, which we haven't got. 😟

How does StartAllBack build the Win+X menu? Specifically, I'd like to completely remove Windows Terminal/Windows PowerShell/Command Prompt entries (which I can do on native Win+X menu by deleting the shortcuts from %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\WinX, but this doesn't seem to affect StartAllBack); I also noticed that System entry is missing on some computers (specifically, my main workstation).

The developer of Mypal 68, @feodor2, is not responsible for the existence of this preference. It's a common preference of Firefox 68 which Mypal 68 was developed from. The default setting is true to avoid DLL injections from known third-party applications via a blocklist. That means, if the preference browser.launcherProcess.enabled is set to true, Mypal 68 blocks DLL Injections by third-party applications.

No , youtube just loads less scripts and bloat if it "sees" older user agents . Try to spoof your UA with something older , while using v.13.1106. And choose x86 UA strings. I know for sure youtube and other sites load less fat to 32-bit systems .
