  1. webp CVE is scary, ported changes of https://github.com/webmproject/libwebp/compare/7ba44f80f3b94fc0138db159afea770ef06532a0...95ea5226c870449522240ccff26f0b006037c520 will be in NM27/mozilla45esr/SP55/UXP in next build. (libwebp in NM26 is too old to get changes ported so no clue for it)

  3. Yes there was, obviously. Large corporations like Fujitsu-Siemens made a lot of ready-made Itanium workstations in Europe, I read HP also produced them up tp 2006-2007, so we can't be sure. I think the previous poster simply confused this thread with the old one, which was x86 only. Could you try panda on your XP64?

  4. News to me. I didn't think this thread was dedicated to x86 "only". Unsure of what the split is on MSFN Members that run XP as to how many of them are x86 versus x64. I run x64 (Windows XP Professional x64 Edition) but had no clue that there are "two versions" of x64. Interesting. It is safe to say that no MSFN Member is running the "Itanium" edition.

  5. The original XP64 (2001) is not 5.2, and what you mean is the one that was based on Server 2003. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_XP_editions "Windows XP 64-Bit Edition". Not to be confused with Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, which was designed for AMD64/EM64T (x86-64) architecture." And if you want to be that pedantic, the developers of Panda wrote "Windows XP (32/64 bits)", not Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. https://www.pandasecurity.com/en/support/card?id=40003 The main point is that both 64 editions are clearly off-topic here. Have a nice day.

  6. Right! I love such Latin phrases as you already know. And the proof is (as always) in the pudding.

  7. If a manufacturer specifies the following as system requirements then the programme, in this case Panda Free Antivirus, should actually run under Windows XP 64 Bit. But let's face it, most manufacturers probably don't really test their programmes under all old, abandoned operating systems anymore. Therefore, the users simply have to test it themselves. And that means we have to do a part of the manufacturers' job if we want to use their programmes under these legacy OSes.

  10. Same thing on my XP x64 as @WSC4 is seeing. I didn't find this KB2600211 update they speak of, maybe this one in particular is the key. No updates for .NET Framework 4 are installed, tried installing first two I found, KB2600217 and KB3037578, but no difference.

  11. Thanks for the info! But I would appreciate it very much not to totally slide into discussions that have nothing to do with the actual topic of this thread. Greetings from Sheldon Cooper! The owner of a forum would say: And the creator of a thread like me has to say as usual: A bit off-topic in a thread is never a problem. But please, let's get back on topic again! Thanks in advance! 12. Mount the VHD and than create backups like you do on every other normal disk system. Either a disk imaging software like Acronis TI, Macrium Reflect or a file backing image like a WIM backup.

  13. OK, I wasn't aware that the growth rate would be that high. No sense in pursuing this further. I need to find a better way of getting a reasonable file diff of the VHD. A full backup of a big VHD each time doesn't seem to be the way either. Any recommendations how to best backup VHDs or is everyone just using them as throw-away systems without doing backups for them?

  14. So Chromium 119 works on 1511 but does not work on 1507? So far, I'm not sure if I'm going to keep LTSB 2016 [1607]. When (and only when!) I resume from hibernate or perform a full restart, the first (and only first!) launch of any Chrome/Chromium browser (including Opera and Vivaldi) takes 16 to 34 seconds to launch! Sorry, but "unacceptable". Online reading suggests that MS Edge does not have this delay (but there is no "ungoogled" vesion of Edge and this is equally "unacceptable" for my preferences). Official Pale Moon does not have the launch delay but holy d@mn is it SSLLLOOOOOOWWW for EVERYTHING that a browser is supposed to be capable of doing.

  15. There are 2 installers. The online installer and the offline installer. It did not matter which one I ran, both came up with this: I searched about this on their site and they say it needs Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.0.30319 or higher. Clicking the Continue button does nothing. This does not make sense because I have Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.0.30319 installed. I installed it a few years and seems to be running fine. I installed the 32 and 64 bit versions. Not sure if I needed both. I will have to ask Panda support about this.

  16. This one, also. 1. Will this browser collect or disclose my privacy information? "Strictly abide by the "Regulations on the protection of computer software" of the people's Republic of China... So, if by the China "regulations", then it's fine.

  17. Update notification! My fork Check My IP Address & Location has been updated from the version 1.2 to 1.3. I added four further time intervals for checking IP changes: 1 Sec, 5 Sec, 10 Sec and 30 Sec. 18. Hello @VistaLover (and of course all others interested in extensions for our beloved UXP browsers)! In the next post, I provide an update for my fork Check My IP Address & Location. I added four further time intervals, all less than 1 min. If you are still using my extension, then you should update to the new version and use the 1 sec interval for checking IP changes. If you use this interval, the detection of an IP change takes place without any significant delay (at most 5 seconds for VPN connections, almost no delay for direct connections).

  19. Chromium 119 still works on Threshold2 (1511) Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2015 based on the original RTM of Windows 10 is going to be supported till October 2025 https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/windows-10-2015-ltsb So if the chromium devs keep supporting what M$ does, then you have 2 another years. And also it doesn't look like they are going to drop Server 2016 very soon https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/7100626?hl=en

  23. Yes, it working for me, using it from time to time. But the grow rate is quite high. Just booted a diff and shutdown after 3 minutes it grow to 1.42 GB. You could simplify this without editing BCD. Just rename the VHD to let's say Base.vhd and create a diff with the old name. Also make sure that parent and diff vhd are in the some folder.

  26. The new taskbar is awful. Maybe Tihiy will be able to reimplement it like with the Start Menu. I'll gladly pay an upgrade fee for all of my licenses for something like that. I truly believe SAB is underpriced for the functionality it gives.

  27. I think this is the must updated list KB free in 2023 on the Internet for .NET Framework on Windows XP/2000/2003, as well as its possible installation order. -All KB has been compared with third-party packages. -Information has been compared in different forums and websites. -I have been checking that there were no superseded in Microsoft Knowledge Database, when this database existed. Currently it has been checking in Microsoft Update Catog Even so, it is possible to exist some error. Some users report several KB are superseded with non bulletin, however I think these are necessary to install in that order of the list, although it is superseded. If you observe an obsolete or replaced KB with bulletin, please comment. At the end of the post I list the current doubts. 28. Well, of course he doesn't own anyone, but you know what I think ? What they did is hypocrisy lvl 1000. When during his times here they wrote him extremely lengthy soapy posts, telling him good night/good morning every day, and in the end, all of that was just to get upvotes (from what I see in their recent activities). And not a single good word, like he wasn't even here at all . Only legacyfan and me remember him.

  29. So that's it ?!?! You and me and no one else ?!??!! Wow ! Sad reality is not many want him back, as it seems. More importantly, no one else said anything regarding his honour... Life places everyone where he needs to be, I guess. All these people who wrote extremely lengthy soapy posts to him, and now it's only you and me who remembers him and took time to write a couple of good words !

  30. This is just freakishly funny ! What's the purpose of the *supposed to be secure* software that updates itself via non-secure http !??!?

  32. Also very dated. I have a similar one in my internet PC and it's no good. Very weak.

  33. You're right! It was Serpent 55 - D'oh! Yes, the screenshot was taken from my Serpent 55. My main browser is New Moon 28. If a website doesn't load properly there, I try Serpent 55 at next. These browsers can be customized exactly to the user's need. One reason why I love them and continue to use them. Only if both fail, I give 360Chrome a try.
