  1. --- Dave-H wrote: If 360Chrome is sending it to China and/or Russia, they can fill their boots as far as I'm concerned. I hope they choke on it! --- A detailed telemetry analysis would be more productive. In older browsers some IP addresses may no longer connect or redirect. On topic because you made it on topic: Racist hate speech from a moderator in an international forum, wishing harm on others, for shame. Hate begets more hate, stop the cycle to create an environment where we can all co-exist peacefully. This incident has not (yet) been reported, let your conscience be your guide. My posts may drift off topic but i'm not in the business of promoting hate. In most modern workplaces, including USA, your comment would promptly trigger a security escort out the door. If your lucky, maybe paid or unpaid leave until the incident is investigated. Background, both my parents and spouse's parents come from authoritarian countries (Asia and Europe). I can assure you there are good and evil people everywhere. Most citizens, for obvious reasons, do not choose to live in an authoritarian environment. Some were fortunate enough to leave (escape) but the hate and racism continues for them regardless where they live. Off-topic: Most Asian and Russian hackers would quickly make a mockery of our abilities. Post-script: Relevant screengrabs archived as current moderators have created an environment of mistrust by deleting undesirable posts.

  2. To improve it, of course. Thank you very much for all your efforts! The only thing to do is NOT to reply to these messages that fan the flames. And not to worry about them, because their arguments are frivolous, not serious... We users are with you.

  3. Then your presence in this thread is "trolling" and in no way improves this browser for those that actually require this browser. That goes for XP users in particular, which I have always stated is technically the only users that truly need this browser, other options exist for other OSes. Those of us that DO use this browser have a vested interest to IMPROVE it. WHICH CANNOT BE DONE IN THE ENVIRONMENT THAT THIS THREAD HAS BEFALLEN! This should be a fair question - what is the "agenda" with this current environment towards 360Chrome - To improve it? Or to wipe it (including Humming Owl's releases) off the face of the Earth?

  4. @UCyborg: For Armagetron, it's different. The developers don't test it specifically on old computers. Armagetron is rather old in its codebase and is based on an old version of SDL. There is a plan to upgrade things, but hopefully the main developer will be as slow as ever! You probably have to tune down the graphics on a Pentium 3 to make it look fluent, but firstly: Armagetron has lots of options in the graphics menu and secondly: In such a low-poly game, there is not much lost. 100 FPS on the P3 is possible!

  5. This is done through the utility "Shell" by Nilesoft. https://nilesoft.org/ This requires an additional dll.

  9. If the external servers that the browsers send info to are known then the IPs or domains should be listed so that people can add them to any firewall or proxy they happen to have. As a small example, in my Dev environment, it is completely isolated however I have a set of 10 IP addresses outside of the DHCP scope that allow internet access, but the firewall is configured to block all access to Microsoft websites from those IPs. People can choose for themselves whether they want to use the browser or not, and how involved they want to be in using it.

  10. To be honest the only way to not get your data filtered to anything is to not use digital technology at all. There will be always something that can be extracted from us as long as we use a computer. That being said, when I first started modding this browser I was very scared of my data being sent to china and all that stuff. At the end I losed that fear because it is useless (and also maybe because I have nothing to hide). I reduced all the outgoing traffic of the browser to the internet I could see in the extended amouth of period I was testing the browser. AFAIK, the only thing that matters is the outgoing traffic as it is the data that can be sent to the internet, requested by servers out of the computer. With this I am not saying that you should not be afraid of your data being filtered but to address that being extremely fearful about data being filtered its not correct (its bad for health as well), we all have a level of comprehension with which we can tell if something is dangerous or not. Also, IMO malware/virus detection software is as paranoid as a person that is afraid of black cats because they are bad luck entities. In Linux OSes there are not such things (and if they are, they are very unpopular) because it is the OS itself that should be able to protect himself from external stuff. Regarding the loader of the browser of this thread, I believe it can be written in a BATCH file completely, if it loads the browser with arguments and deletes several folders at the end of execution then that can be acomplished with a BATCH file. I don't know about registry edits in BATCH but I know BATCH allows registry editing. Cheers. PD: Sorry for my english, I have not practiced in a while.

  12. Thanks for your kind reply ; obviously, I wasn't aware ... Today, with more free time on my hands, I searched this further and it seems it was first removed in Chrome 65, then reinstated in Chrome 66, to be permanently removed, as you wrote, in Chrome 76 ; what a mess ; of course, all was done to cater to "user security", the usual "excuse" when useful features are being removed:

The Webb telescope pictures have 6. It's due to the supports on the reflecting mirrors in the telescopes, Hubble's being circular and Webb being hexagonal shaped"
