  1. Highly unlikely. "Half" of Cloudflare 'security checks' are SERVER-SIDE.

  2. I'm recreating the old IE5.5 support download site as the IE6 support site for as many languages as possible. Why do I do this? Micro$oft removed the servers for these browsers, even though they don't serve their purpose today they are still necessary components of Windows 9x/NT/2000 and XP. The intention is to facilitate the user of the Legacy version of Windows who needs to update Internet Explorer and has an Internet connection on his Windows 9x/NT/2000 machine, as well as for those who do not have installations in English and want to have it in their respective language. This site works in IE5.01 and later completely at the design level, older browsers like IE4 or Netscape only work for download. IE5.5; http://ie55browserforbetter.tk At the moment it is only available for English, Spanish, French, German, Korean and Simplified Chinese. More languages will be added in the future.

  3. Laughing at the premise that animals are dirty and leave footprints compare to people. I wonder myself it its badly raised people or something, bad egotists - without question and no regard to others. You should see the city after the new year eve, and after some other holidays and spring break from college takes months to clean up and that beach may never unless people change habits. I'm sad to have to say this, but I'm (more than a little) worried that good manners and respect for others and what I would consider 'common sense' concern for others is going away.

  4. Seems to be another recurring issue. We last encountered it last May: The "non-interactive JS challenge" GitLab are sending, as part of their CloudFlare protection, is meant to work on only the major villains, i.e. Chrome and "buddies" ... That article was last modified a month ago, possibly the same time GL log-in became broken... And it would seem that User-Agent-Sniffin' does play a role, in the initial detection at least, according to: https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/204191238-What-are-the-types-of-Threats-#bad-browser The problem from back then (May 5) was eventually resolved by NM 28.10.6a1: But, from @AstroSkipper's post, it looks like Cloudflare has "fixed" their challenge to once again block NM (probably official PM too). AIUI, Cloudflare just out-and-out blocks certain user agents "abused most commonly by spammers," but if you spoof a modern browser (Chrome on my Android is up to version 105 now), Cloudflare will send Javascript that only a modern browser can pass. What to do? Well, first, make sure it's not just a regression: download and try the previous NM version. If it works, report back here. But that probably won't work. Next step is for someone to try official PM. If, as I suspect, it doesn't work there either, know that upstream will be working on it, so 28.10.7a1 will likely resolve the issue. (Not much comfort in the meantime, I realize.) In the meantime, or if all else fails, your best option would be to find a UA that is neither "abused most commonly by spammers" (whatever that means) nor that of a modern browser, in the hopes that Cloudflare will then send you a CAPTCHA. You'd then have to solve an annoying CAPTCHA (and likely provide Google some unpaid labor) but at least you could sign in. Edit: Well, once again, @VistaLover beat me to it, although I suspect he worked longer on his post than I did on mine! Anyway, using Serpent 52 (and presumably its default UA) he did eventually receive the annoying CAPTCHA, which apparently he didn't have to solve manually. (Cloudflare may not like his PC, but Google was apparently satisfied that he wasn't a bot.) BTW, does anyone besides me find it, well, just plain stupid that Cloudflare thinks you may be a bot if your PC is too slow? What would be the point of using a bot that's slower than a human anyway? If it's that slow, you could just pay some impoverished third-world resident to do the same work, and (s)he could solve all the CAPTCHAs your site could manage. Edit 2: Or not - it just occurred to me that many of Google's CAPTCHAs are rather specific to modern Euro-American culture, so maybe a third-world resident couldn't solve them so easily; I don't know for sure....

  5. @AstroSkipper When I clicked the Login button, I was redirected to https://www.uci-kinowelt.de/meinuci/login Within seconds, the "CF security check" kicked in... As you can see, that test is intolerant of slow internet connections and slow computers (like yours and, to a lesser extent, mine... ) After some 10sec or so, I got offered a hCaptcha challenge (probably because my CPU was too slow to solve complex mathematical functions ) : Once I clicked the "I'm human" (in Greek) input field, the test continued for another 5sec, after which time I finally got "Connection is secure" outcome, and then I was presented with the log-in page: I could not test whether valid credentials worked from that point on, as, obviously, I didn't have any at my disposal ... That was with my St52 build of [2022-08-06] (will update shortly, though...). FWIW, the successful result of the "CF-secure-connection" test (I'll call it a user ordeal ) has been saved locally in the form of a cookie named "cf_clearance", that will expire in exactly one year from its creation...

  8. I am beginning to have doubts, if I and you are made of the same material... - because I don't understand at all, why you are laughing at this 4th picture. Me when I see it, I have the pity of these repulsive people who have left this garbage on the beautiful beach, they are ill-mannered - badly raised, dirty types, selfish egoists, stupid, etc. I have at this moment the shame of this part of human kind...then I am rather in anger against these behaviors, being horrified to see this beach condition (and what are the municipal property services doing?), not laughing... The level of civilization is measured by the state of cleanliness.

  9. ... There's a slightly updated "beta" version (not by JustOff), v1.16.4.31b2, tucked away inside PR#330 : https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock-for-firefox-legacy/pull/330#issue-1206437114 that I have been using for the last few months, without any noticeable problems so far... @roytam1, any clue on your side? Thanks for the retracing! Although there is definitely a theoretical and legitimate interest for this issue, my fix of the CSS code has actually solved the issue. Some days ago, any help would have been appreciated by me. But, there was nothing except an idea from @NotHereToPlayGames, which I also already had, but with a different approach that I didn't pursue. And that was also good. In any case, I was on the right track. Now, with my modification of the dashboard.css file, the dashboard can be opened as before, and all elements are finally fully visible again. As a mathematician, I am problem and solution oriented. I have solved the problem, and thus the matter is closed for me. And you know, I do things my own way! But anyway, thanks for your interest! Here is again the link to my fixed version of uBlock Origin Legacy 1.16.4.30: https://msfn.org/board/topic/183923-extensions-and-custom-buttons-for-uxp-browsers-corrections-modifications-adjustments-and-special-recommendations/?do=findComment&comment=1226247 Kindest regards, AstroSkipper

  10. Yes I meant desktop background, but I change it often ... and sometimes I enjoy a picture that brings me some ease of mind and I will use it. It was the 2nd picture (trying to recall) perhaps because lonely road but the leaves on the ground reminded me of change of season and I like fall so much. Another thing I would walk along that road and not feel lonely, but more lonely around other people ... hard to explain. Anyway, is ok today. Hope everyone is well and not allowing news to turn your spirit toxic.

  11. Yup... But don't let MS tell you what OS to use. Support is a benefit, but not a requirement.

  12. I second that motion. The change log is usually quite long and very technical; hard to understand even for those of us who dabble in programming. Putting it in a spoiler tag would let us refer to it if need be but save our scroll wheels if not.... Even better would be a plain-language "executive summary" of the changes, but I'm sure that's out of the question. It would have to come from upstream.... It's a commit log, not something of vast interest to end users. Imagine Ubuntu folks posting commit logs of all software it ships at release. Upstream does write changelogs, eg. http://www.palemoon.org/releasenotes.shtml But what is there to write about what are basically "test" releases compiled from trunk code? Changelogs are written when you release stable and tested code. We never give out nightly builds to customers where I work. When there's something important, relevant code is merged into the latest stable release and intermediate release is made.

  13. In case someone want some fonts on XP, in this folder I will be posting some fonts I was messing around with. https://www.mediafire.com/folder/1hf8d38zg8seq/Fonts The ones that matter are: - SegoeUIEmoji_edited.ttf (Segoe UI Emoji font, version 1.35, with proper flag support from the Twitter Emoji Font) - Twemoji_13.1.ttf (Improved B/W Twitter Emoji font, name is "Twitter Color Emoji Thick") - Twemoji_13.1_fakedSegoeUIEmoji.ttf (the same font as above but with the ID of the Segoe UI Emoji font to make it load the emojis on the browser) The original project for the Twitter Emoji Font is here --> https://github.com/eosrei/twemoji-color-font The other ones are for testing purposes. Cheers.
