I prefer to create something useful , like this miracle. I used brutal techniques from the 90's, early 2000's . I did NOT hack or modify any of the Firefox browser files , so I'm not in violation of the forum rules . The tool works by intercepting and/or redirecting , blocking the telemetry/pings/requests , certain APIs , etc. No Mozilla files were modified and this programme works with a wide range of FF versions ! The Mozilla code is rather primitive , reminded me of some japanese software. One example of how it works . 1- Firefox wants to generate my unique hardware ID and then send it to the Mozilla servers , thus creating a unique user ID (guinea pig's tag). I say : "screw you , sore losers , I do not allow you to make the hardware ID", so the tool intercepts and blocks it immediately ! (How ? It's a secret , I'm sure the FF staff will read it , try patching it , and I don't have time to redo the tool). It works on the fly , it forbids the browser to chew up your RAM with a ton of unneeded processes (Optimize browser button). Main languages : British English . Dutch is there , but not activated for now , I'm sure our Dutch folks won't have any problems with English. Also, I added translations for some Western European Languages like Spanish . And several Eastern European : Bulgarian , Czech , Polish , Lithuanian , Ukranian , I just figured users from these countries could have problems understanding English , while the Dutch , Germans and French most likely won't , so no German , French or Italian. Perhaps I will add more in the future . I do not promise anything ! Most of the "hacking" (reducing the junk which is 100% not needed at all) is being done without the user interaction , I left only some of the functions that could be changed , in case you would want to be fingerprinted voluntarily , lol. To change the UA , you would need to restart the browser , though. This tool is so powerful , it literally mocks everything these dilettantes had been doing all those years to track you ... I'm still not sure If I was right to post this , perhaps I need to delete this. It's based on my previous tool for Chromium browsers , so may have some of the code leftovers . I shared the early alpha release for chrome 360 (without the UI) with some members . But now it's almost obsolete due the newer functions, also I created a cool interface , like this one . It gives you total control over your browser. I'm scared to share it in the open , but I still want this to be MSFN exclusive , so I may share it with the certain top members (moderators) and [probably] @win32. You ask why ? Imagine this tool in the wrong hands , coppers , FF "team" . This tool needs to be used by good people only , who care about their privacy . You gotta understand , I can't see who's hiding behind his nickname , it's nothing personal ! Yet again , I shall share it , but with extreme caution. No AV reacted to this tool during the testing. Just tried that, but then YouTube doesn't load any more... As time goes by, Pale Moon becomes more and more obsolete for use with the "modern" web... Better to just put a lightweight Linux distro on old hardware and use a decent browser.

No (meaning that is not in any way faster than Windows 7 on SAME hardware and with clean installs). I need investigate what could be wrong. Can you put picture from Ematrix or whatever matrix you use. Boycott modern internet overall. It is too bloated, too much data collection and other big issues. @roytam1 can better speak to this, but it's unlikely that later versions of his FF 45 build will help with Web compatibility issues. AIUI, the changes he's been porting into FF 45 are mostly security-related. I'd be surprised if any changes to FF 45 have been to support newer Web features, like According to the chart at the link, customElements wasn't added to Firefox until version 63, well into the Quantum era. No hope for any of @roytam1's browsers unless either: JustOff can pull off the trick with an add-on somehow (not holding my breath) MCP gets around to adding customElements support to UXP; is that what @UCyborg meant by "not finished yet?"

OK , let's imagine you live in some Zuristan with a communist/dem. dictator . I have been waiting this day whole year. Windows XP turns in to 20 years old today. US launch was in 24.10.2021. Here video from it launch event https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KgOgjdY830 20 years really flew. XP was truly amazing piece of technogy and is still used thanks to MSFN. Today I will be only using Windows XP to celebrate it. Maybe everyone should share some when started using XP, how liked from it and if is still using and do you have plan use it on future Also funny note that XP is now old enough to legally buy strong alcohol drinks here

im gonna be completely honest win 8.1 is amazing its faster than windows 7 but more modern also a lot of people dislike the ui but after some time youll get used to it it also has no bloatware and adware like win10 i love it anyone else feels the same?

Sure, this is also my approach...do not waste time for this. Have get rid of all valuable privacy extensions, to have my browsers more responsive. And for my security I use some extensions (uBlock O. with 9-10 lists (more than 90.000 network filters, not enforcing cosmetic filters), Script Blocker Ultimate, Redirect Link Checker, Ping Blocker...), but first: have healthy habits for surfing on the web.

I use Wise to free up memory as well as ccleaner. My computers are heavily tweaked and practically anything not necessary is disabled.

Anyways , I think he just found an excuse to avoid creating something similar , because it's very difficult and I totally understand that ! I was going to agree with @UCyborg I'm not sure how XP does it, but for my Win 7 system, I'll have one instance of explorer.exe for the desktop, then another for each instance of Windows Explorer I open. But since it hasn't happened again, then maybe it was just a glitch, so never mind. Cheers and Regards

Yes , chrome 86 released in 2020 and we shall soon be in 2022 . So I guess it's time to look for alternatives , it doesn't matter if this browser was good for a certain amount of time. It's in the past . I used it too and was satisfied and I 'm grateful , but now it eats up my RAM like crazy . One twitter page and 2,2GB is not normal.

No , it's not , if one uses proper measures against fingerprinting and doesn't pay with his CC. Of course you need to read a lot , train alot. Also , such kind of a person will most likely avoid FB in the first place , lol. Do not use VPN from commie/"ex"-commie or five eyes countries . You need to read the laws of the country where this VPN provider located.

Bingo! It really is EXTREMELY easy to "identify" folks these days - to the point where I do not waste my time trying to "prevent" it! It's actually much more effective to "blend in with the crowd" and that's the approach I prefer. Here is the best way to illustrate - Let's say the green circle represents your browser being Mozilla-based versus Chromium-based (you do not need a User Agent to detect this) - seems pretty much 50-50, right? The blue circle represents your preference to "normal" versus "dark theme" - you either advertise a "dark" preference or you don't - seems 50-50, right? The red circle represents your "do not track" preference - you either advertise DNT or you don't - seems 50-50, right? There's three things alone that your browser advertises a simple "yes" or "no", a 50-50, and we already have you reduced to the "white area". Throw in screen resolution as another circle and that "white area" is now even smaller. PREVENT "screen resolution" from being detected and that "white area" is even SMALLER becase most users do not know how to "prevent" screen resolution detection. You THINK you made yourself HARDER to "identify" by preventing screen resolution but in reality you just put yourself into a "circle" with a very small population - EXTREMELY easy to identify you when that "white area" keeps getting smaller and smaller.

Hi , from what I know , 360 behaves as a usual 86 chrome when working with extensions. I don't think it would be any different with UBO.

Mr.Scienceman2000 , I'd suggest the vetted 360EE 13.0.1106.0 and 360SE 13.5.1030 - both stable and fast . Decentraleyes ... hmmm , I suspect something's wrong with it , did you check it's guts yourself ? It shows zero redirects for me. Does the author can be trusted ?

When they tell you something, it's actually not what they name it . Here, let me help you with translation : Epic Privacy Browser = Epic Privacy Failure Browser. Besides , it can't use extensions , so a hard pass for me. How am I supposed to use a browser that doen't allow extensions , it's just nonsense . What about no-script and the such ?
