  1. Past hour
  2. It is not really a necessary feature. You can change that in a very simple way inside your OS. Even by using a third party tool. Anyway! In general, New Moon 28 and Serpent 52 will get what has been developed for Pale Moon and Basilisk.
  3. @roytam1 This problem I have had before. Now I always look, if still the modified ntoskrnl.exe is at its place. I think, that the same happens to you. In the very last reboot, some files are changed back to their original one. Because I do not change them in sp3.cab or dll or driver folder. For to overcome this, I just put out HD before last reboot and copy by hand back all the modded files. This works for me. Until now I do not succeed to install any PCI to Sata or IDE controller under XP. With the original PIO 3 IDE controller on the Shuttle Hot 433 board, the transfer speed is about 7MByte/s, brrr.. I tried really all. No driver is even correct installed under running XP. I tried: Promise TX2 300, Silicon 3114, Silicon 3112 and a no name from China. "Best" result shows the Promise driver, but even when XP tells, that its driver is correct installed, I never see a harddisk via this adapter, nor I can boot from it Dietmar
  4. hi @Tihiy. i installed recently windows 11 in a tablet and when i try to shutdown it shows slidetoshutdown. how to skip the slide part and shutdown directly?
  5. so it installed a unmodified version as ntoskrnl.exe. maybe we need to replace all ntoskrnl variations with our patched one.
  6. @XPerceniol Dark Passenger= The quiet voice or voices that get louder and louder. "Worry about this, worry about that" "Be anxious and nervous about this or that" "Get angry over this or that" "A drink would make you feel better, just one, it won't hurt" -among many others.
  7. Today
  8. History shows you'll all be rushing to the then latest Chrome in no time, so that timebomb doesn't strike me as something to be concerned about. You might already have.
  9. Nothing to do with the browser I think, the site is simply not coded to update the title on quick navigation between thread pages.
  10. The browser does not refresh the contents of the top bar. When going, for example: from page 45 to page 48, the top bar still displays page 45. Only refreshing the page by refreshes the top bar and changes the description from 45 to 48.
  11. no idea why it works when I changed CPU to Am5x86-P90.
  12. Hi, In Chromium-based browsers, search engines are added to the list automatically without your consent. So you have to visit and interact on the web page of the search engine you want to add. I have the opposite problem. I use an extension (unfortunately quite outdated and somewhat inefficient) to keep the search engine list as free as possible from search engines that I don't like being added to the list.
  13. Hmm, interesting. Looks like I wasn't the only one with a good idea. Guess it won't happen until the official Pale Moon browser adds it.
  14. That's not what I said... Anyway, for reference, it was asked before on PM forum: https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=30059
  15. Lol. Dude, how exactly adding a simple setting to change DNS would make the browser die? That would actually make it even better. Every other browser has it.
  16. All actual meaningful progress happens in the upstream, not here. That's not opinion, that's fact.
  17. Yeah, I just wasn't sure about browser's settings/preferences if they would reset whenever I replace the folder. I take it that gets saved in Application Data as well.
  18. Last binary release 1.0.03 of Otter Browser indeed comes with QtWebKit5.dll from 2017, so while this is WebKit wrapped in Qt framework, it's way too old for comfort. I don't think 360 Extreme Explorer is WebKit, for starters, it implements WebUSB, WebKit does not implement WebUSB. This document is also outdated, there's no /third_party/WebKit directory in the current Chromium source tree. Another difference is Chromium (Blink) uses V8 JavaScript engine while WebKit uses JavaScriptCore.
  19. New Moon 28 as Serpent 52.9 have their profiles and plugins stored in Documents and Settings/User/Application Data directory; the browser "installation" is in Program Files/basilisk (for Serpent). When updating I always just delete the basilisk dir and then unpack the updated version into Program Files/.
  20. That's why I asked HIM if it can be done. This is just your opinion.
  21. Okay, so I just replace the folder that comes in the 7z file each time and leave the other folders (Moonchild Productions) in Application Data and Local Settings as is. Got it.
  22. I don't think roytam1 is correct address for such feature requests. These projects, at least New Moon and Serpent very much piggyback on the work of the upstream developers (Moonchild Productions). They fall and the downstream dies as well.
  23. New Moon doesn't save anything in its own folder by default, so no.
  24. @roytam1 Can a setting be added in New Moon 28 to change DNS. Something like this:
