  2. Vesa video modes should be supported. Use a DOS app to set the screen to any standard Vesa mode.
  3. If you are interested to AI. Open a thread. Each person has his or her own priorities. You have yours. I have mine. Others have theirs.
  4. Today
  5. CPU-Z shows me the following: SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4A Should I use SSE3 or SSE4? Are SSE4 and SSE4A the same? Prozessor: AMD Phenom II X4 945
  6. https://github.com/Alex313031/thorium-legacy/releases You will have to scroll down to the second section. There are versions for SSE2, SSE3, and SSE4 systems. Chose as appropriate, and do read what it says above the links. The zip files do contain installation batch files, but you don't have to use them. It should run fine as it is.
  7. As I said, deepl is not important because no sensitive data is transmitted. DeepL was only an example. When using 360Chrome together with ProxHTTPSProxy, then either the settings in IE8 have to be changed or the Manual Proxy option has to be used by Proxy Switcher. All this can be clearly seen in ProxHTTPSProxy's logging window. BTW, the web interface of DeepL is broken in 360Chrome. It looks like a CSS issue.
  8. On my system without Thorium running, the RAM usage is around 1150/2814 (40%). With Thorium running, with no tabs open, this changes to around 1600/2814 (57%). I do have quite a few extensions installed on Thorium though, without those I suspect that the RAM usage would be considerably less.

  10. As I said, deepl is not important because no sensitive data is transmitted. Yes, I have 32bit and 3MB of available memory. How much memory does your Thorium use when you have just started it?
  11. Thorium uses less RAM that Supermium in my experience. Do you have 3GB of RAM available on your 32bit system, the maximum it can use natively? If so, Thorium is fine on all but very heavy sites like scrolling on Instagram, where it will eventually run out and crash the tab. Even with less than 3GB, it would probably be OK on most sites.
  12. Hi everyone! Could existing a i5-5200U modified driver for Vista?
  13. Burger Chrome & Google user here, AI overviews enabled. No ads thus far (desktop Chrome, have disabled UO & refreshed to check). AI results are pretty good -- exactly what i'm looking for ~95% of the time, hallucination-free thus far (not even once), info's no more outdated than all search results. OTOH, not searching for politics/current events, those might be right-think du jour. Don't miss out! ♫ I hope someday you'll join us/And the world will live as one♫
  14. AVC is H.264 or Mpeg4 part 10 : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Video_Coding
  15. When it comes to Deepl, you should use the Manual Proxy instead of the System Proxy option in Proxy Switcher. 360Chrome v13.5.1030 Redux in combination with Proxy Switcher seems to have problems when using the System Proxy option. Just tested with ProxHTTPSProxy. The Manual Proxy option works fine without any errors.
  16. You definitely don't have any of these “problems.” I if I want to dialogue with some characters like Giorgio Maone,Andreas of OSArmor,Pedro Bustamante......etc. I have to use some channels. Period.
  17. Another reason why I removed Bing search from the list of search engines and set DDG as the only search engine. No ability to add other search engines such as Google. https://www.ghacks.net/2024/05/22/google-begins-integrating-ads-into-ai-overviews-on-google-search/ All this of course in my only Chromium-based browser,Microsoft Edge.
  18. FYI, (in regards to uBO Legacy) Replace EasyDutch with AdGuard Dutch. (I think as a consequence of my post on Reddit) No commits to repo since Jan 14. See also issue tracker.
  19. I have tested Supermium and it needs so much memory, which is not available. Does Thorium need less memory? For pages that I only want to view, it doesn't matter whether they are encrypted or not. I only have concerns when I have to log in or enter data, as is the case with the example mentioned. With https://www.deepl.com/translator for example, I don't care whether it is encrypted or not.
  20. From June 2024 there will be many users in this forum who will have problems with some extensions used in chromium-based browsers if they do not use the specific policy. Not the Command Line Switches. The policy is needed. Also because, in my opinion, for the applicability of the (corporate) policy, the browser needs to be managed by an organization. But only time will tell whether that will be the case or not So policies are certainly predominant over Flags/Command Line Switches.
  21. Probably my only fun,in Linux, would be AppArmor profiles. But AI,Copilot......just no.
  22. Thank you for your advice. No,I hate multiboot. Today they will probably be outdated problems but I once had many problems with GRUB especially after an LTS update.
