Disk space or LCD monitor?

What is more important? Would you put your mony in huge SATA or smooth LCD if you have to choose? 54 members have voted

    • Disk space of course. Who cares about the screen? Just get a bigger table...

for me still LCD bc I lack the space on my desk and I need something big, why? because i don't buy a LCD everyday and won't be buying another one for another 3-5 years unless the bigger LCD's are sooo much cheaper.

and with HDD, they're pretty cheap thesedays. u can always get another one if u want. and hdd is something that is updated more often, u can get 10,000rpm these days about months ago only option was scsi, now ide supports it. next year we might have 15,000 (that'd be lovely :))

Definately storage, no doubts about it (how about a drive array?). AV editing, music collection, video server, you name it - everything you do on a PC consumes massive amounts of storage. Storage is the one thing you can never have enough of. Ever since I got my first computer years ago, storage has always been the first limitating factor. LCDs? I'll skip on that one, I don't like them at all, gimme a 21" trinitron and I'm happy.

About 6 months ago I was able to get a 18" Mitsubishi with a DVI input for $379. The spec are very good on it and it is one of the best looking monitors I have ever used. When I say nice looking I mean the picture quality is outstanding.

I still remember when a basic 17" CRT cost between $500 and $700 so under $400 for a good 18" LCD is a bargin to me. My last 19" CRT lasted me almost 6 years and I expect to get close to that out of my new LCD.

However, hard drives come and go so fast and are so cheap I find it silly to compare the benefits of buying one to the other.

At work I use 3 22 inch LCDs. At home I have this nappy 19 inch CRT. I would settle for getting the LCD for home before mass storage. At both locations I have the monitors/LCDs at 1600x1200.

I DISLIKE LCDS. THEY ARE BLURRY AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN A LCD WITH 0.20 DPI, SO I WOULD REALLY GET DISK SPACE

I don't like my LCD (Thanks Dell). As for the poll option: "Disk" space??? DESK. :P

LCD = fadey image when you're not aligning your head with a protractor from each corner and dividing by 2 to find the center. (I've been studying for my Math exam all day). I'd like a 19" CRT flat screen monitor. :)

For me it is LCD moniter because I survive on a 20GB HDD. Only used 5.5GB, could use a faster HDD though.

:P 20GB that is as big as a mini ipod LOL

the new toshiba "ipod" type is 80GB

i want a new sata 200 gb or 300 gb

well i heard that LCD Screen post to be crap for gaming wiv so id say the HD Cant get enuff that Free space :D

I'd have to go with the lcd 19+, since I have 1tb+ of hard drive space.

what? is that a sentense?

Well sorry that i anit perfect at english iam dislexic so i have to deal wiv it :)
