TSNH Posted January 28, 2024 Posted January 28, 2024 Works for me on XP with just sp3, KB942288, wic x86, visual c++ (no POSReady updates) and 2003 sp2 with the same additional updates

I just have it on my list of updates that I use for XP and 2003. If the installation fails on XP, then It means that it's probably not installed I guess I just needed it for Server 2003 for some reason at some point Edited January 28, 2024 by TSNH

Scientific Approach has to eliminate ONE variable at a time. That was the ONE variable that OTHERS needed to chime in on once it was introduced AS a variable. Supermium DOES work for OTHERS that have PosReady, so NOW we can eliminate that variable. 2
TSNH Posted January 28, 2024 Posted January 28, 2024 This is on Intel GMA 3600 integrated with this CPU. No gpu acceleration is supported by the driver, so maybe you have to disable that? That Server 2003 screenshot was from vmware

I don't give too much credit to these synthetic speed tests based on netwok connections but can anyone else confirm this ? https://browserbench.org/Speedometer2.0/

This is on overkill HW, but anything Sandy Bridge & up with 4 gigs or more should show a similar spread. Subjectively, it's also much faster. P.S. I see. Now I'm very curious what the real culprit might be. Maybe the author can find something in the dump files we sent him.

Probably to still keep the project open-source and at the same time charge lazy non-tech experienced users for the premium installer on XP. Not a bad idea actually. Supermium ==> Supremium Someone, suggest to win32. I'm not gonna charge for this name.

Hi, sorry if this was mentioned already, but have you tried sticking progwrp.dll in \windows\system32 folder? Also: what's the file size of your progwrp.dll? (already had a 13KB progwrp.dll sitting in mine, the new one should be 125KB)
