It's disappointing that Thorium Legacy is now four Chromium versions behind Supermium, and there seems to be no sign of any update coming.

It was always the case with Thorium, if you remember, it had been stuck at 109 for years, all until @win32 gave him the code. I'd say it depends on win32's mood.

Probably, he will share with him again, probably not. Chromium 130 is already available at the devs lab, by the way.

Could you please persuade win32ss to base the browser on a China fork, a very good one, that @Dixel found? That fork is based on Brave, which is open-source.

It would solve the bugs and speed up the process, it's not like when building from scratch.

I think that might be a bit of a big ask, why don't you ask him yourself?

I don't have a github account, and win32 is now a rare guest here. Besides, I saw a post from Dixel where Dixel wrote win32 doesn't open PM on MSFN anymore.

I officially gave up. Maybe I'll get back to Supermium in a couple of years, I wanted to love it. It's slower and slower with every release.

With all those endless fixes, I can't keep up.

It's your loss, actually! Now it's un-yandexed, which is a huge, enormous plus for us, who actually reside in GB and Europe.

Waiting for the full un-googled version.

Had a good laugh at the guy that claims to be from Southern Europe, writes Yandex is known for aggressive fingerprinting, yet tries to access it with such a zeal. Here's that extensive guinea pig test for either of you. Thank you and kudos to the tester. "Disabling all privacy-related extensions, including uBO" just to try to get to the favourite Yandex - wow!

I see it redirects to a really long link for invoking captcha when visiting yandex.com on older Supermium 124 and gives connection refused. But the captcha shows after allowing JavaScript on yandex.com in uBO and solving captcha allows access.

At least it seemed that way on first try, it looked like you don't get captcha page with message about enabling JavaScript at all if not already enabled, but it's not necessarily the case[*] and just rather random after restarting the browser and trying few more times, you can get connection refused, closed, sometimes even timeout then at some point after refreshing few times it may start working again. Was going off incognito mode so there should be no cookies leftovers after restarting.

[*]Right, JavaScript toggle shouldn't even play the part until you successfully receive HTML from the server and JS file(s) it references.

FWIW, the Yandex site doesn't work with the latest Microsoft Edge in Windows 10 either!

I can only get it to work in Firefox 130.

It is working for me in Ungoogled v122.  Yandex is doing the same thing in Supermium and newer Edge that one of my finance site is doing.

I can access in v122, v123, and v124.  But cannot access in v114, v119, v121, v125, and v128.  Just spot-checked various versions.

I was never able to track down why these *THREE* (v122, v123, and v124) and *ONLY* these three versions *WORKS*.

This is off-topic of course as we're talking about browsers on later operating systems, but could it be a certificate issue?
Not working on 114, 119, or 115 because it's too new, and not working on 125 or 128 because it's too old?!
For 122, 123, and 124 'just right' like Goldilocks' porridge!

I don't get captcha on Thorium 117 and Edge 94 on Win10, same with Chromium 117 on Android 7.1.2. Pale Moon 33.3.0 gets captcha (using native user agent). No connection issues on either.

Unable to open a site that uses -> cloudflare human verification

Can this verification be bypassed?

For example: I can't download anything from the https://sourceforge.net/  website.

It's absolutely the same here. It's been asked many times, no one answered what to do. Many, many websites block this browser.

Can you show a pic of your "help about"?  ie, what CHROME ENGINE are you getting this on?

I cannot get this "out of date" banner/notification/blob even with 360Chrome 13.5 which only uses CHROME ENGINE v86!

So Supermium has BROKEN something internally because sourceforge doesn't throw this.

As you've said, it's been asked many times, I have yet to EVER witness/confirm/verify ANY of these.

My theory is that this is OPERATING SYSTEM.  The notification is just GENERIC and says "browser" but IT IS NOT THE BROWSER THAT IT DOESN'T LIKE.

That's my theory.

The Sourceforge site seems to work fine here, in 360Chrome, Supermium, and Thorium.
At least the homepage looks fine.
What are you actually trying to do there?
