I just tested latest NM28 32-bit on two different household laptops; one has Vista SP2 x86 as the OS and a recent-ish wireless (non-bluetooth) Logitech mouse; the second one has Windows 7 SP1 x64 as the OS and an old USB (wired) Microsoft mouse; on both machines, middle-clicking and wheel-scrolling work as intended in NM28 - so I'd say it's something specific to your setup/configuration...

Yes, you are right. I had disabled it in the Firefox browsers during the initial tweaking to remove all possible animations, and had forgotten about it.

The setting is: general.autoScroll

Of course the final decision is yours, but I'd encourage you to at least try uBlock Origin. If you hate it, you can always uninstall it.

It was written for efficiency, so it's likely you'll find that it actually speeds up your browsing more than slowing it down, since your browser will no longer try to download oodles and gobs of unwanted garbage.

The latest non-WE version of uBO that I have is 1.16.4.31b2, which IIRC was posted by @AstroSkipper in his thread:

There may be a later version by now; I haven't checked recently.

Confirmed. There's also a banner I don't understand:

I'm guessing it's trying to install the latest Widevine or some such (which of course it can't do), but I have no idea why DropBox would try to play DRM'ed audio, video, or whatever the heck it's doing!

Thanks for confirming, I also wait confirmation from others and @roytam1, but strange, I don't get this banner in Serpent 52 nor in Serpent 55.

Enhancer for youtube, and all ad-blocking monkey scripts I have tried (among the most recently updated) seem not to work. YT is ok in 360chrome and mypal, with the last working version of enhancer for youtube. It stutters in st52 (or else it stops, probably wherever an ad is scheduled, and stays there until hitting space twice -one to pause the frozen rendering, the other to start playing again).

In vanilla profile, without ad control, yt works well, if for well you mean with ads.

Enhancer for YouTube still works for me.  I can no longer pipe YouTube through Proxomitron "and" Enhancer but relying on Enhancer "plus" uMatrix continues to work quite well.

My uMatrix doesn't allow anything outside of youtube.com and googlevideo.com domains.
