StartAllBack for Windows 11

@Tihiy I have been using SAB since its advent. I have it on a Windows 11 system that has just upgraded to 26120.1930. I have your very latest beta version installed, however, the release version also exhibits this issue. If I disable SAB this issue does not occur.

What I am seeing and how to induce it:

1) Shift-Right-Click a mmc shortcut that will raise a UAC prompt like a custom MMC with Active Directory Users and Computers and GPMC loaded.

2) Choose Run as different user, I choose a domain admin smart card logon and enter my pin

3) At that point I never see the UAC prompt and my system freezes completely. I have to power force it off or send a shutdown\reboot command from a remote computer.

It only seems to occur when an app invokes a UAC prompt when Run as a different user, I can run an unrestricted app as the same smartcard user fine.

As noted if I disable SAB this doesn't occur. I will continue to try and confirm my findings and test same on a similar setup.

Where? Which UAC settings?

Windows 11 23H2 22631.4249 after starting the system, a black background appears in the TrafficMonitor bar. You have to close the applications and restart.

TrafficMonitor has a transparency setting. Also the dev hasn't touched it in years. I moved to NetWorx (which is paid but cheap). I had an issue with them caused by the new SAB system tray a few months ago and they actually took the time to fix compatibility with SAB and gave me a test build. Really awesome devs.

Not UAC settings, a UAC prompt raised by an app requiring Elevation - Task bar shortcut that points to D:\Temp\Shared-MMC\Domain-Forest.msc.

Regardless of user, this msc raises a UAC prompt, however only when I invoke this for another user is it a problem, the UAC prompt never appears, normally the screen freezes and the UAC prompt is in foreground, I am suspecting that the prompt may be hidden.

Sorry @Tihiy upon further testing this occurs without SAB as well; I guess this version of W11 is hosed. Did an IPU which seems to have fixed things.

I have used NetWorx and much prefer TrafficMonitor. I know that old I personally did the translation to Polish and nice years it serves me. And until SAB version 3.7 it was ok

I think I have a similar experience but this happens with Microsoft Edge running. The autohide will no longer autohide and stay over any maximized window except for something in fullscreen like a game. The task bar will stay up in both monitors.

I am on Microsoft 24H2 OS build 26100.1882 with SAB 3.8.10 version. However, this seemed to happen in 23H2 as well. I thought maybe it had to do with the latest Nividia driver released on October 1st but I tried disabling the overlay and it still happened.

So I thought this issue was because Microsoft edge, however, it seems the program Teamspeak 3 is causing the task bar to stay in the foreground from autohide. Anytime I receive a chat message in the channel it notifies me with the task bar window turning orange and flashes ("Show flashing on taskbar apps" windows option). I turned off the windows option but it still flashes. I am not sure if flashing notifications on program cause the task bar to stay opened until the notification has been seen. Normally these message notifications should not open the taskbar in anyways. I have no other programs to test the flashing with.

This is also happening with the latest 3.8.11 test version.

It's there. You need to disable multi-monitor taskbar though. Which flyouts are not multimon aware?

Only the clock / calendar one respects which monitor I click it on, and appears on the display accordingly. The rest only on the main display. If I switch to Windows 10 flyouts, they all start behaving as I want them to (flying out from the taskbar in the monitor I clicked them on), but the volume one is stubborn in only appearing in the main display.

Widgets on the left

@Tihiy please how can I move the widget on the taskbar to the left side? I have set the left taskbar alignment and centering icons but the weather widget is in the right, next to Systray. Any posibility?

Change taskbar alignment in system settings.

It's a regression or it's not wanted ?

StartAllBack 3.8.11 to test
- Stripped '- File Explorer' suffix from Explorer windows

StartAllBack 3.8.11
- Stripped '- File Explorer' suffix from 7/10 Explorer windows

With German UI, File Explorer is again present in the taskbar and W11 explorer (ok with 3.8.11 to test)
Ok with French UI and W10 explorer

Yeah and you already answered, the change was intended
