Feature request, if possible: Explorer ignores "Compact view" and "Show checkboxes" options when it thinks it's running on a tablet, any chance to have StartAllBack override this and make it honour the settings?

You can toggle ConvertibleSlateMode in registry, though that way lies madness.

My problem is that I am running on a tablet (and sometimes even use it as a tablet, with on-screen keyboard), but those gaps between files in Explorer really don't do anything useful for me.

StartAllBack 3.8.10 to test

Quote

- Option to totally disable task grouping (a la XP)

- Decoupled widgets position from task centering setting (use system centering setting to control widgets)

- Swapped clock time/date on one line

- Removed Win10 input layout switcher as it makes hotkey unreliable

- Fixed WMP thumbnail

- Fixed segments on secondary taskbars not working in some configurations

- Fixed segments drawing tear/blinking

@Tihiy I am wondering if it would be worth the effort, in the Remastered 7 theme in File Explorer to get the Menu Bar drop down menus working. In 10 LTSC I have always disabled the ribbon and used the menu bar and it would great to have the menus working on it in 11 also.

This was an option of "7+ Taskbar Tweaker" but unfortunately Starllback is no more compatible since version 3.8 and Taihiy don't want to reimplement its functions, so u can stick to 3.7.11 if you want to continue using 7+TT functions.

Same for Windhawk from what i tested...

I would love to have this implemented and some others 7+TT's funcs as "Middle-click on Taskbar" or "Cycle combined items".

Yeah, I know. Can't stay with the old version though.

I understand that Tihiy doesn't want to implement everyones favorite features from various other apps, it is what it is.

Would like it though, since I find it very practical. Tons more practical then duplicating the program, which middle-click does by default, who needs that?

It's all done, but it doesn't disable grouping. It disables combining. "Totally disable task grouping (a la XP)" means (to me;  I can be mistaken, of course) that any button of the application instance can be moved inside the taskbar separately from buttons of the other instances of this application. And I can't find an option to turn it on in SAB 3.8.10.
