StartAllBack for Windows 11

Dynamic shyness is really good addition. Thanks @Tihiy

Just wanted to ask you about one nitpick I have, and it is eating at me as an OLED tv user with pixel shift active and registered here for that sole purpose. I don't know if you know this but OLEDs with pixel shift option (or other names with same effect) shifts entire screen a few pixels in every direction once in a while to prevent burn in for stationary elements on screen. Now when this happens, usually whole screen shifts down a few pixels and to the side a few pixels as well, and before it all returns back to normal, the taskbar misses the very bottom portion, which also includes the bar that highlights open apps. So, most of the time I have the taskbar open (unhidden) I am missing the bar highlight below the open apps, and I would like to know if you could add an OLED tv option for the taskbar to enlarge it, like only adding to its width or adding only to the width of highlight bar itself perhaps? I would really appreciate this QoL addition to an otherwise perfect program :)

@Tihiy

Hello! Could you please add the ability to set textures to the taskbar? That's the only reason I'm using "Start11" from Stardock. Thank you for the great soft!

@Tihiy great software by the way.

I am running 3.8.1 and seem to have found a bug.

I have a toolbar added to your taskbar that points to a folder containing shortcuts. These are a mixture of application and folder and share shortcuts. All the icons appear fine but when I hover over them there are no tool tips. I have to go to each items properties the determine which is which. The snipping tool doesn't capture the mouse pointer but basically as in images below With SAB and without.

Computer with SAB

So removing the toolbar and re-adding it seems to have fixed the tool tips. I will reply later if there are and changes, like it doesn't survive a logoff or reboot.

So it didn't survive after a reboot; now back to no tool tips. Seems like an issue with your toolbar code.

Also position of icons in the toolbar doesn't seem to survive a reboot. This (icons relocating) seems to have stabilized.

v3.8.1

1. After system start, the scrollbar is black in start menu, after re-applying the style in SAB's settings it goes back to normal.

2. GIMP 2.8.14 should show image preview in taskbar, but it is only GIMP's icon.

What's that that theme?

@Tihiy
After installing the ver last version, using Win7's taskbar now showing window previews in the wrong order,
I.e, if I open two windows and check the preview windows in explorer, it will show both previews in the opposite order,
So if I hover the cursor on the preview of the window I'm currently use, it will actually show me the second one window and vice versa,
Also and the X button sometime moves to the right loaction when I try to press on it when it's on the left,
It may be due to my OS using right ro left lang which basically moved all of the UI to the right instead of the left, but that issue wasn't presented on any older versions so far,

Could you fix it?
Also while Idk if the swtich desktop buttons of Win11 is affected by startallback, it does show the desktop pics mirrored in general, so will it be possible to fix that too?

StartAllBack 3.7.11
Report a problem: (Win Pro 11 23H2 22631.3880)
Quick Launch bar submenu "Text not displaying correctly".

Example:
[FolderA]
    Shortcut-A1
    Shortcut-A2
    [Folder-A3]
        Shortcut-A31
        Shortcut-A32

[FolderB]
    Shortcut-B1
    Shortcut-B2

"Shortcut-A31" and "Shortcut-A32" is "Text not displaying correctly".

In addition, I have encountered the same problem in the start menu.

Looks like a background refresh issue.
Is there a solution to this problem?

Hi @Tihiy

I just checked version 3.8.2 and the problem I reported earlier regarding EA app is gone so, good job. Sadly I found a new problem with another program. To the point...

After the installation of Auslogics Disk Defrag (version 8.0.24 - This is an older version of this program, yes I am aware of that but I use it because it is the last version that has full functions not hidden under unfair paid license) an empty icon remains on the taskbar. There was no such thing at all in version 3.7.11 of StartAllBack and this icon simply disappeared after the installation was complete. This icon disappears when you click on it. However, the icon does not remain on the taskbar at all when the program is installed with a different compatibility e.g. Windows 8 or 7. The problem also affects the program's uninstaller, which also leaves an empty icon after uninstallation, unless its compatibility is also changed before to Windows 8 or 7. I know that this may not be a super important issue but I thought it might be worth mentioning because it might help prevent similar problems from occurring with other programs.

Screenshot of the issue.

With 3.8.2 I am still experience my taskbar now showing up on my secondary screen after hitting the windows key with autohide while playing games or something that is full screen on my main monitor. Having RudeWindowFixer does not solve the issue. Disabling Nvidia overlay has no effect either. The only way to show is by minimizing the game, click the desktop of secondary screen, and then hovering the taskbar. Disabling enhanced bar works fine with the default windows version, so it has to be something within the software.

Now this is an interesting edge case, it disappears with 3.7.11 only with virtual desktop filter on.

There's no use for RudeWindowFixer, it's already incorporated in. I'm not sure about your scenario:

- You have fullscreen app on main monitor

- You press Windows key to open start menu on main monitor

- You move window to the edge of the secondary monitor

Yeah, this doesn't seem to work. I didn't even think about this scenario.

Tbh I don't really know what it is this "virtual desktop filter" I just described what I managed to observe. On 3.7.11 everything works as it should and the icon disappear. On 3.8+ the icon is stuck in the taskbar and only disappear when the compatibiliy is set to Windows 8 or 7 before install/uninstall the program. I'm reporting this issue only to prevent similar phenomena with other programs that could potentially happen.
