I ask since we are still on version 28.10 Version numbers are highly misleading. If you compare the "whatsnew" of both, you will very likely find that the version 28.10 from here includes nightly patches that have not made it into version 28.12 from "there". ie, "here" might be a 'lower' version number but it contain NEWER fixes/patches than a official release from "there". And to confuse the two will get you thumped in the head by people from over "there", lol.

Sampei.Nihira
I noticed that like the latest version of Pale Moon 28.12 also in New Moon 28, WASM, is enabled by default. I ask both @roytam1 @Matt A. Tobin and any other MSFN member can also step in if this can be a wide open door to security issues in our OS W.XP? This for minutes or longer before it responds again. 1 core maxed out, just as memory is maxed out when it happens. Re-starting PM does not help. have to re-start XP before I can use it again. PM27 does not show that problem. Anyway, thanks for your work Yeah, I am not really sure yet, but experiencing something similar with NewMoon 28 in the past weeks (using 28.8.0a1 2019-12-06 and 28.10.1a1 2020-07-04). Not really minutes but more like 10 to 20 seconds. Triggering me to try and close the tab that I suspect is causing it. But then it won't let me. Also windows things like show desktop (minimize all) are then unresponsive for a little while.

A workaround was deployed by hcaptcha.com shortly after I brought it up on Pale Moon forum. Since then, baseline JIT compiler, which is related to the problem, is disabled by default on 32-bit builds.
