Thanks for the notification, Bersaglio and BlackWingCat. 

I kept getting a "Failed Install" message when trying to install this version of Silverlight (5.1.50428.0, 32-bit) on XPx64.  These are the steps I had to take to finally succeed:

1. Uninstall the existing version of Silverlight through "Add/Remove Programs."
2. Run CleanSilverlight.cmd twice, per KB2608523.  (You must add quotes to the registry keys in the CMD file.)
3. Restart your computer.
4. After restarting, disconnect your computer from the internet and temporarily disable your antivirus software.
5. Run the latest installer EXE.  (Only need the 32-bit installer for XPx64.)
6. Restart your antivirus and reconnect to your network.

Hope this helps others with the same problem.  I wouldn't install Silverlight at all if it weren't for Netflix stubbornly requiring it in Firefox.

Double quotes, you mean?

BTW, it installed OK for me. But I'm on x86 sp3, of course. And thanks for the heads up (with solution!).

I was taught to call them quotation marks, without discerning between the British single and double.

A Brazilian nitpicking on the usage of quotes by the Americans (BTW one of the very few cases where - by pure chance BTW - they have it "right"[1]) as opposed to the British:

To me, as someone British, <"> is an inverted comma, or quotation mark (normally plural as in prose there's always two of them of course, not just because it's a double mark), and <'> is an apostrophe!
I only use <'> as a quotation mark in computer file names (because you can't use <">) and where there is a quote within a quote.

Naah, the plural is normally used for the single character or key on keyboard.

In English also,  the "double quote" (singular) or "inverted commas" (plural for the actual character/key on keyboard) are actually  a (singular) "quotation mark".

Yes, the plural issue is extremely confusing!
Do you say something is "in quotation markS" because there's two marks, at the beginning and at the end of the quotation, or because each mark is a double mark (two flipped over (inverted) commas side by side)?!
The joys of the English language........

Just noticed that my Task Scheduler service won't start.  If I try to "run" a scheduled task, I get error messages that end with "Error 5". 

Although it might be something in the POS updates, I've started a new thread on this forum at
