  1. 2. We are still looking for this missing update: The system or application freezes in a Windows Embedded POSReady 2009-based device. Please help finding it (at least english release) if You can. Everyone here will be very grateful.

Full offline installation support (in a workstation disconnected from any kind of network). - and - 4. Easy weekly offline definitions update (from USB stick) - and - 5. Full 24x7 realtime protection in case of malicious files detected (from USB sticks or local networks/storages). Suggestions?
  4. Great news! Thanks, @roytam1!
  5. @VistaLover Thanks for the info, just checked 360 Extreme Explorer 11.0.2086.0 (Chrome 69) on the XP SP3 virtual machine and TLS 1.3 passes the test via specified test server. But sadly it is not an option for me because I never trust Chinese browsers due to privacy concerns... This is not correct. I used official Mozilla test server https://tls13.crypto.mozilla.org/ until it was taken down without any warnings or explanations. Then I started looking for a similar test server and found one linked in the first message of this topic. I didn't even know who is the administrator of this server, but its domain name doesn't look related to Russian Internet segment.
  6. Does it work for anyone? In which browser (maybe other tools)? TLS 1.3 test server: https://tls13.1d.pw/
  7. Adobe Flash Player 32.0.0.192 has been released today (confirmed working with Windows XP SP3/Windows XP x64 SP2) Internet Explorer ActiveX: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/pdc/32.0.0.192/install_flash_player_ax.exe Mozilla Firefox NPAPI (also for Opera Presto/Google Chrome 44 and earlier): http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/pdc/32.0.0.192/install_flash_player.exe Google Chrome 45 through 49 PPAPI: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/pdc/32.0.0.192/install_flash_player_ppapi.exe
  8. @GH0st " SHGetKnownFolderPath could not be located in Dynamic link library SHELL32.dll " I am pretty sure this error has nothing to do with KB4494528, because it updates MS Installer 4.5 core files only. It probably means that SHELL32.dll (or any dependent file) is outdated. Your real problem probably lies here: "WinXP Pro (sp0) --> uSP4 --> GH0stPak_26Apr19" Official SP3 for WinXP (not to mention uSP4) cannot be directly installed over WinXP Pro (sp0). Update installation procedure should be changed to WinXP Pro (with sp3 already included) --> uSP4 --> GH0stPak_26Apr19 or (still not recommended) WinXP Pro (sp0) --> SP1 --> SP3 --> uSP4 --> GH0stPak_26Apr19
  9. WinRAR 5.71 Final has been released today: Link to 32-bit english version, What's new in latest release. Confirmed working on Windows XP SP3.
  10. It seems that Microsoft Security Essentials for Windows XP support has been dropped. Latest XP-compatible definitions https://definitionupdates.microsoft.com/download/DefinitionUpdates/VersionedSignatures/AM/1.291.2489.0/x86/mpam-fe.exe Attention: Link will not live long, download ASAP if You need it.
  11. Same here. I'm looking for en-us version of this hotfix too (maybe ru-ru too, but not in top priority)
  12. Skype 7 is dead since April 02, 2019 (signing in to account using Skype 7 is impossible from this day, Skype 7 login servers are gone). But since the Skype session lasts 30 days there are still few Skype 7 working copies remain with account autologon enabled. They will work until the session expires. So (most likely) from May 02, 2019 and later, not a single working copy of Skype 7 will remain.
  13. Only regsvr32 MSI.DLL should be enough to fix a small KB4494528 problem.
  14. Last and Final patch tuesday for POSReady 2009! Today is one of the most mournful days in PC industry as we are saying goodbye to Windows XP support. We will remember Windows XP as most stable, reliable and friendly OS ever made. But we will of course continue to use Windows XP as long as possible. 18. @heinoganda Thank You very much for the new Rev3b release, works like a charm! But how did You managed to compile new cryptography 2.6.1 with XP compatibility? You previously mentioned that this is not possible...
  19. Which rule we should setup to disable ServiceWorkers in uBlock Origin extension?
  20. Well, Your problem is caused by some corrupted/unsigned driver during its loading process in safe mode. There may be many options: antivirus, some third-party app which can sometimes cause problems (like Nokia PC Suite) or... I don't know how to localize the cause and alas, I have no other ideas sadly...
  21. Registers data, maybe memory addresses in this case. Try uninstalling Your VGA drivers (Intel 965) and restoring plain VGA driver. Then try booting in Safe mode again.
  22. @Mathwiz It is an incorrect way of getting wmfdist11.exe (and Your source is very outdated). Proper way: 1. Download official WMP11 distribution from official source: http://download.microsoft.com/download/0/9/5/0953E553-3BB6-44B1-8973-106F1B7E5049/wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu.exe 2. Unpack this distribution using WinRAR 5.70 or similar archiver. You should get 26 files from it. One of these files will be the latest available wmfdist11.exe 3. Run wmfdist11.exe unpacked on step 2.
  23. @luweitest 0xC0000005: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION is definitely related to system memory. Try removing RAM modules, cleaning RAM pins, re-inserting in different motherboard slots. Try replacing at least one (SO-)DIMM module if possible. Try booting the system with only one (SO-)DIMM inserted. I think the reason of this BSOD will come to light sooner or later. P.S. And try using discrete video card instead of integrated one (where is it, BTW? Thinkpad should have one, AFAIK). I was confused with ati3duag.dll file presence. Was there a video card from ATI installed once? Perhaps this is the reason. Try removing and cleaning possible ATI leftovers from system.
  24. Try running sfc /scannow with local Administrator privileges. But prepare in advance the installation disk or image from which the system was originally installed (under the assumption You have installed the system with SP3 already included).
  25. WinRAR 5.70 Final has been released today: Link to 32-bit english version, Waht's new in latest release. Confirmed working on Windows XP SP3.
