  1. Thats a very interesting tute, thanks.
  2. Winrar is nice but not free, not a terrible difference with compressions though. Just remember the more compression can sometimes mean greater installation time. Gotta weigh the difference & the speed of the machine your installing on.
  3. For UA dvd both in the Sources dir & on the root of the disk.
  4. Thats great man NG here & not the only one apparently. Lot more testing to go....
  5. Don't wanna be a nark, seems very much a sub standard tool that does not appear to work as claimed. Little feedback to boot. I would not be putting such a tool up unless it was thoroughly tested first. Just too buggy I'm afraid.
  6. Haven't tested ya xml but pretty sure your second partition "D" is causing you grief..... I do the following here:
  7. That would be the catalogue file it is referring to, simply delete that file or use the waik & make your own with a valid answer file, you really need to post this in the VLite section of this forum. All the answers are here if you care to Search....
  8. Mount and Export the images you want to a new .wim. I get Ultimate out of the rest All 1 line D:\VistaUA\Tools\x86\imagex /export /check /compress maximum D:\VistaUA\uaDVD\sources\install.wim 4 D:\VistaUA\uaDVD\sources\installnew.wim Then delete original install.wim and rename installnew.wim to install.wim Good reply Maxx, i thought these forums were about learning how to do unattended installs i,e, information learn the basics first not to push every one to nlite or vlite . I do not know why VLite is mentioned here @ all when it has its own section...Not in unattended Please....GOT....
  9. yeah... but HOW do you do it when you want 32bit ultimate and 64bit ultimate on the boot disc and not the others...? i have vlite on my pc and i load my disc on vlite. it then asks me to pick a os i would like to edit... i want to edit 2 of them and delete the rest.. You should be able to rerun VLite on each vers. of your choice I guess & have lic. for both off course.
  10. In my short experience, VLite will integrate most OEM drivers but anything out of the usual or unsigned ones forget it.
  11. Yes with a batch file, though the min waik tools are required. This has them applied. I prefer my script though.
  12. On a slow system it takes very long on my high end system it takes ~25Minutes. On a 3.2Ghz, 2 gig ram?? not a slow box. This is just too buggy atm. Watching the progress as new releases come out.
  13. @AlbertS2 Running this from Vista if I integrate SP1 into a clean source one image only, how long should it take? I been going 6.5Hrs so far & still waitin...seems to be stuck on integrating 5/5 @ 50% for quite a few hrs...What gives?
  14. @AlbertS2 I'm using this with XP sp2 & net 3.5, not working here at all. Is this only meant to be used with Vista?
  15. Totally agree, fully bug tested etc, atm is only working for some.
  16. I download the drivers from HP, I don't understand why they don't sign their drivers, especiaaly the business series. So far done both Toshiba & Acer laptops with no dramas following extracting & saving the working drivers.
  17. That would solve my problems, problem is where to find signed drivers ? I have 8 different HP machines , they include drivers like Fingerprint sensor, card readers, interfaces and so on ... I generally use the factory or oem drivers only, you're right can be difficult to find the good signed ones. Vista is more pickier than previously.
  18. Apologize man, I did in fact sample the wrong one, Just DL'd it now is very good & will be testing it further.
  19. Yeah that's exactly what I already did. I installed Vista on the machines, installed the drivers, extracted the drivers with Drivermax, and finally itegrated them with the Vista. I also tested with vLite. A couple minutes ago I extracted the drivers with Chilly Device Driver Backup and injected them with the Vista Tool 1.0. I am now installing on a machine. I hope that it 'll work because in couple months I have to roll out. I have everything completed except the drivers and the NetInstall part. I keep you guys updated. Man sounds like its all happening for ya, good to see.
  20. Thats a very handy ute GSM, your becoming a talented HTA man.
  21. Does not appear to include drivers for fingerprint sensors. Just back up yours from Vista & re inject into the wim.
