i prefer amd, i worked with a P4 not to long ago (p4 3ghz, ati radeon 9800 pro) and my amd (1800+, 9200 pro) outperformed it. the menu transitions (fade effect on both machines) on mine surpassed them. when id click on a menu, it would stutter. games ran terribly too (i even loaded the machine and loaded all the right drivers than came with everything, i built both machines btw) thats just my "realworld" experience though. i prefer the amd cpus in all honesty. i have a pII in my laptop, but thats just a laptop.

both my parents and my grandmother on my moms side smoke. i dont hate them for it, its theyre choice, but i have been around cigarette smoke all my life (all 16 years of it) and it hasnt bugged me at all, i breathe fine, i dont smell (at least i hope i dont lol) my parents have been smoking for over 25 years and nothing has happened to them, they dont have funny looking teeth and they dont smell. mind you they dont smoke like 5 packs a day, they probably smoke 4 cigarettes a day at most. so i just beleive is really your own opinion if you smoke or not, dont try to make people feel bad for doing it, its their choice. they dont try to make you stay away from the computer do they? (i wont smoke though, not my thing)

wish i could get a new laptop, mines an old dell inspiron 7000 let us know how it works out im not a mac person by any means. the mac just seems better suited for *certain* things, like video editing. but i dont think it would be able to do much else just because its really limited by the os, just not too much is written for it. thats what i see anyway.

what do you mean an iso as virtual drive? do you mean an ISO as the harddrive or the cdrom?

the text file just didnt have wordwrap on. MDGx might fix it. wolf might be able to help us there hes a great gfx designer. We all want to here I guess. Well Windows ME in my case as that's what I am using. And don't feel I am saying to you are not welcome here or something because that's not the case at all. dont worry, it didnt come of that way at all. i use windows ME to on one box, well laptop, and it runs great on it. windows me should be kept alive as well, even though a lot of people say its crap, its not. it depends what you run it on. same with 98. i was thinkimg of changing the name from ultimate, to something like "windows 98 still alive edition". would that be an idea?

i have, but i bet you any money they dont care because they want to change the stuff. usually stuff that i dont like, a lot of people do. so thats fine by me. if they do it, ill just stick with my older os's.

i have so much more respect for the guys who wrote everything, like the service pack, 98SE2ME, and revolutions pack. and you guys had to much more than me just to get them to sort work i bet . i dont know how you guys do it. on behalf of myself and (im sure) a lot of other people out there using these fine pieces of software. i was also thinking of making a 98 boot image. using EasyBoot im going to include a lot of stuff, like the windows 98 power pack, and all. ill post it up when i get it done. or for the most part, kinda a beta i guess. let me know what you think of the idea. im going to need a nice background for the boot screen too the title i was thinking of going with for this project would be "Windows 98 Ultimate Edition" think its any good?

lol yah, they should just extend support. maybe not have the same amount of people working on it, but MS would still be making money off of other operating systems. but then again, its probably just against theyre way to give free stuff. but then again, they did just release VPC for free...
