The easyiest way to do this is to setup a domain. then its just a matter of setting up system policy and sending it to the client PCs

if you are an administrator and you still get that message, its most likely due to malware. do a scan with spybot and/or trendmicro housecall.

just a note: for some odd resion, ctrl-alt-del twice doesnt work with all versions/configurations of xp, or if there is someone already loged in.

go into bios setup and find a setting for the sata controler. most bios's have a setting for useing sata as raid or ide. try setting it to ide. look around in setup for the option, or look at the mobo manual.

Looks like your going about it right, except you need them to connect to your public ip, not your private ip. goto www.whatismyip.com to get your public ip also make sure you allow the connection in any firewall you might have. if your intrested, you can get a free domain that will automaticly update to your public ip. www.no-ip.com

I know, i guess i can understand it checking once, but after it finds a legal xp install it should uninstall its self, leaveing some marker that it has validated the install. or maybe it should only run when automatic updates is installing updates. imho, it is a bad move by MS to have this program in the first place. makeing it even worse is that it contacts them daily...and on top of that they forgot to point out this "feature" ?

I use Limewire Pro and uTorrent. Normally i only use limewire when im just looking for one or 2 small files. i use uTorrent for everything else.

Open regedit from an admin account. goto hkey_local_machne\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\winlogon\specialaccounts\userlist make or change the administrator key so that it is a reg_dword with a value of 1. then the account will appear in normal mode. (you might also be able to press ctrl-alt-del twice at the login screen)

start in safe mode and use the User Accounts control panel to change the type of user to computer administrator.

there is no resion it shouldnt work with IE7. however, useing firefox just about makes this pointless, as most (probly 99.9%+) of the sites wont infect firefox.

I use AVG free. im thinking about getting kaspersky, but i see no resion to stop useing avg. its worked great for me so far. i would also like to conferm how much norton sucks. its not even funny. how good is NOD32?

My mother had a compaq 2200 with a cyrix cpu, and it ran wmp 7 (as well as 9) just fine. it could be a corrupt install. idk what happend to the registry, but it might also have something to do with it. if you can, switch out your ram with another ram card(s). it could be bad ram as well.

by cpu, i beleve he means the computer, not the cpu chip.
