hi! the link for Extra add-on for Windows 2000 shows this: Not Found The requested URL /data/hfcleanup_2kextra.zip was not found on this server.

hi TC! tried it without AVG ... re-downloaded cmdow ... as well as all recent hotfixes ... tried 2 different sources (XP Gold & XP SP1) ... still the same result ... all those add-ons that used to work as shown in the 1st pic above are no longer present (i.e., media player 11, lclock, some graphics & utilities add-ons) as compared to the 2nd pic where it used to show up after installation ... pls believe there was nothing new i did except for adding the new hotfixes + some add-ons which i took out too when i saw the initial result. i am certain there must be nothing that was changed in the cmd as i was able to create successful builds prior to my latest attempts ... i just wonder would there have been modifications made on how add-ons are treated this time ... or could there be new updates/hotfixes that could cause such? thanks!

NP! glad to be of help

hi! would it be possible to have a download feature in the site ... something like here in our thread if i for example would like to download the topic ... or perhaps a .chm or sort ... thanks!
-
thanks TC! i'll try this ... was actually wondering why you haven't been quite active lately
-
just some additional info from http://hfslip.org/changelog.html under General Updates: & under Special Features:

hi jpascal! allow me to quote TC please note that for 1 & 2, file is compressed while for 3 & 4, file is uncompressed

hi TC/TP! i tried making new builds prior to posting this (making use of a re-downloaded 60810 cmd & re-downloaded MS-updates that came out after 60810 final) with the same results ... what used to work did not work anymore this time ... attached are the contents of the different directories for HFSLIP (technically, it is how my HFSLIP.log looks like but i added some comments) ... also included are some screenshots (1st 1 being the 1 which doesn't have the other apps anymore while the 2nd 1 is the 1 where all still worked) ... also, those not present anymore in the Start Menu are not in add-remove programs too ... i really wonder what made this drastic change ... please advise ... thanks! thanks for the 7-z support ... well not that i use it but some addons created now in RyanVM's site are in .7z format ...
-
you may if you like ... since from what i understand you have the .7z format of the addon ...
-
hey maniaq! see if you could give this a shot: btw, some of the files you mentioned not playing are not supported unless you have a player that could compress/decompress those (i.e., H-264 are ipod related files which would require itunes) ... try using VLC ...
-
here goes the 2nd ... for the wmvdmod.dll screenshot, it is the same for the ff except for the file names: wmspdmod.dll, wmsdmod.dll & wmadmod.dll. i swear i did not do any change ... for those files that i added (as aforementioned) i immediately took them out upon my next builds ... still with the same results ... even removed more btw, have already downloaded again 60810 (in case my copy got corrupted) as well as the new test release pics.7z

hi TC & TP! this may be a little too late to post for our final 60810 but there were some peculiar results that i found out re-running the cmd ... i wonder if there's some changes made regarding the support for HFAAO as some add-ons no longer come up in the GUI ... technically no shortcuts are created anymore (pls see attached pics & files ) ... i tried taking out some add-ons that i thought could be the culprits (latest XPize 4.5, new MS updates released after 60810: KB920872, KB916846, KB909095, KB828026 as well as KB917734, Vista Icon Pack Ultimate - System Patch, Visual Styles Multi Pack 4 Windows XP) ... what's funny is that some were retained, some were not ... i tried using a different clean source but still the same ... also there were some errors that popped up while in text copy mode & also while in GUI ... these probs were not present before ... please advise ... thanks! can't seem to attach the pics ... hope you don't mind if i create an additional post for such ... files.7z

it's alright maniaq ... just a quick 1 ... start from a fresh source (not an nLited 1 yet) ... then use HFSLIP
-
slipstream both via HFSLIP
-
allow me to just re-post this
-
alright ... with your 150mb OS, i'll bet installation would just be so quick if there would still be any existing partition ... delete all partitions 1st (no need to create ... unless you want to divide you hdd space) & just hit enter to install in the defautl unpartitioned space ... oh well i trust you know this just coundn't stop my fingers from typing ... he! he!
-
nope because HFSLIP handles the add on packs (.cab) via HFAAO folder however, i have also tried it with nLite ... to be able to assist you better ... & it's still the same ... please note that perhaps the trick is that nothing is integrated or slipstreamed via nLite (not even media players) ...
-
hi raptor18! you might have not done a clean install of your XP ... another possibility is that you used a different partition for your installation (perhaps what used to be an unpartitioned space in your hard drive) ... nonetheless you would have to reformat that unusable partition eventually
-
thanks for this wela ... have already downloaded the file ... althugh i'm not having any audio issue i'll test this via HF later
-
hi maniaq! just give me a moment ... i'm still going tor eply to this ... i'm just getting some more info for you from my logs... i'll be back ... EDIT: alright, here are some attachments that you could view & compare to what you have ... for HFSLIP.log i placed asterisks on MP10Setup.exe in HF & Boooggy_WMP11Addon.cab in HFAAO ... the other 1 is a text file for the contents of another media player 11 addon in RyanVM's site HFSLIP.txt wmp11_addon.txt
-
hi maniaq! sad to hear it still doesn't work ... i still have a copy of that file (i think it's older though than what's currently uploaded in their thread) ... would you want me to upload it for you (just not sure if boooggy would permit it ... it's just temporary though )? give me a link where i could so you could try it out. might be able to do it over the weekend though. i'll be posting too my HFSLIP log so you could compare it with yours as again WMP11 works for me? i'll even try it with nLite so you could compare too & perhaps see the differences btw, here are the contents of the files that are currently available from RyanVM's site (please see the attachments) ... just look into it Boooggy_WMP11Addon_7z.txt Boooggy_WMP11Addon_cab.txt
-
thanks again ... i'll just stash these in HF then
-
thanks squeeto ... haven't heard from you for quite sometime ... well that is here in HFSLIP i'll try your suggestions but i still need to study reshacker ...
