  1. ah ok ... i'll try that too
  2. thanks Tain ... lett me try that ... all i'll do is drop this in HFSVCPACK ... i'll report back in
  3. he! he! missed those 2 Super-Magician ... i should've noticed those too good luck kdla1957
  4. it shows your using XP SP2 English ... a few updates that caught my attention are the following: WindowsXPMediaCenter2005-KB900325-usa.exe (is this not for media center?) directx_apr2006_redist.exe (this should be in HFCAB after extracting the files --- you don't need the entire DX.exe) likewise, ideally use hotfixes in Tomcat's sig only i see here too that you are using the latest final: 60712 ... you might want to try our test releases too found here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=69809 for more detailed reference, check TommyP's website: http://users.telenet.be/tc76/hfslip/ have fun using HFSLIP!
  5. hi Siginet! i'm new to this part of the forum ... but i have once in a while seen Power Packer when i visit ryanvm's site as well as some parts here ... in fact i downloaded your app once but haven't had the chance to test it yet ... ... what rekindled the curiousity was seeing it in Super-Magician's sig ... i'm sorry i haven't done much reading about Power Packer yet ... but may i ask, how different is it (features & capabilities-wise) from nLite, Integrator & HFSLIP? thanks!
  6. hi kdla1957! welcome to HFSLIP ... i actually had the same experience ... you may try to read on http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...7659&st=135 ... specifically ... to see how it was addressed eventually ...
  7. no rush sir ... actually showed last week that you'd be out for the week ... no rush ...
  8. hi Tain! any comment on my erlier post about the GSPot test results? thanks!
  9. thanks TC ... perhaps i might be safe to conclude that not all addon packs would work with HFSLIP ... specially those perhaps created for nLite: http://www.nliteos.com/addons/ btw, pardon me if this kinda deviates from the topic ... now to get back to the codecs ...
  10. thanks for the replies Shindo_Hikaru & Alanoll ... it'd seem that it might be the Visual Pack ... verified with XPero this wasn't XPize's doing i'll just create new builds again
  11. thanks sir! at least now my concern has been trimmed down ... sorry for posting this inappropriately
  12. hi all! i kinda figured this is indeed not what HFSLIP is about ... this is just a personal wish list ... no offense meant ... (but i'd be happy to have it ... so i wouldn't have to put an extra file n HF anymore & have it slipstreamed to do such thanks!
  13. results may not be as near-perfect with 2K ... tommyp has advised to & ... i have not been quite lucky with it TP, took the liberty of quoting you sir!
  14. hi! would there be a way to replace boot screen via HFSLIP? thanks!
  15. he! he! i just seconded what TC could be anticipating
  16. uhm ... TC i'll try to experiment on new builds again ... just couldn't report as often as i used too ... my shift in the office has been very eratic lately ... ... i'm also thinking would it be better to just install XPize rather than force slipstream it via HFANSWER.ini as this would overwrite original windows files, right? (if only i'm not so bored with how XP shows the boot screen & some other icons ) ... btw, would there be a way via HFSLIP to replace the boot screen? incidentally, i'm guessing there might some addons that are just made for nLite & does not work with HFAAO (i.e., Visual Styles Multi Pack 4 Windows XP & Folder Size ) ... thanks! EDIT: never mind that question ... i may have to bring it up in a different thread (or might start a new 1)
  17. hi ebernard! for MD sums, Super-Magician actually started a thread on this & updates it too Checksums for English XP SP2 hotfixes and updates, July 23, 2006
  18. hi! i encountered the following errors upon getting to the GUI after install: rundll32.exe - Unable to Locate Component This application has failed to start because framedyn.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. tried checking on: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;319114 ... but i wonder what caused this RUNDLL Error loading srclient.dll The specified module could not be found. tried checking on: http://msfn.org/board/index.php?act=ST&f=89&t=39005 ... but just the same, i wonder what might have caused this. made no changes with my previous builds except for adding Visual Styles Multi Pack 4 Windows XP (http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2722) recreated the build without it & no error came up ... could this be compatibility issue with nLite (&/or Xpize)? (sorry i actually posted the same inquiry in nLite to see if nuhi &/or ryanvm might have something to say about it ) thanks!

  21. thanks TC & the_guy ... will do your suggestions ... i have not done anything new this time though ... what could be the reason for this?
  22. hi TC! here's what you requested from me. thanks! hfslipwutxtsetup.7z hfslipwutxtsetuphfslip2.7z
  23. hi ctpooon! if your source is already SP2, then there would be no need to slipstream again SP2
  24. will get it TC as soon as i'm off work can't wait to go home (btw, which run --- the 1 using the latest final or the 1 from the recent test rel ... the 1 from VM or my live OS? ... oh, ill just get both ) glad to hear from you again TC & Tain, please know though that i'm not sure if i did the right tests ... he! he!
