  1. tain might be quite busy lately ... perhaps working on the separate compressed codec packs ... or perhaps working on the to do list i am waiting too for any development ...
  2. i won't touch IE7 beta yet! still, i'd more or less prefer firefox over it
  3. most of those hotfixes (are unofficial & still need to undergo regression testing) you will not need or will not be required by your sytem anyway
  4. btw, TP (& TC) nice new link ... http://users.telenet.be/tc76/hfslip/ ... simple page ... nice (not heavy when loading) ... i missed out on this ... just read it from Squeeto's post what happens to our link in FDV's site http://www.vorck.com/hfslip.html ... would it still be simultaneously updated?
  5. yup ... all's fine with XP from my end (except for testing it with the latest HFCLEANUP ... can't seem to get it to work for me ... although i'll be following some suggestions by TP yey ... a new final (60712) for us to finalize some builds XP was the 1st 1 to be cleared
  6. yey ... a new final (60712) for us to finalize some builds XP was the 1st 1 to be cleared
  7. sounds like collaboration in the works ... looking forward pls ... pls ... include some for XP (so i don't have to use another app to be able to reduce my source & remove some unwanted components) thanks!
  8. he! he! as always TC ... so i could finalize my ISOs too ... for fresh install again! but pls don't let my wish get in the way of ensuring HFSLIP works for all the other OSs ...TC, i guess the thread on Windows XP SP1/SP2 updates and hotfixes, June 27 has not been updated yet to reflect those new MS updates ...
  9. i'll go create new builds then ... i foresee no issue ... he! he! ... and a new final then i suppose ...
  10. ayt ... thought twas otherwise ... you pointing me out the door ... @ jmbattle --- actually had the same inquiry from my earlier post ... yup, SFC* may be disabled via nLite or you may use a modified/emptied SFC* file to do so & deal w/ .CAT files
  11. is HFSLIP ready to handle these new updates already: Update for Windows Server 2003 for Itanium-based Systems (KB921181) Update for Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition (KB921181) Update for Windows Server 2003 (KB921181) Security Update for Windows 2000 (KB917159) Security Update for Windows Server 2003 (KB914388) Security Update for Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition (KB917159) Security Update for Windows XP (KB917159) Security Update for Windows XP x64 Edition (KB917159) Security Update for Windows Server 2003 (KB917159) Security Update for Windows XP (KB914388) Security Update for Windows XP x64 Edition (KB914388) Security Update for Windows 2000 (KB914388) Security Update for Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition (KB914388) Security Update for Windows Server 2003 for Itanium-based Systems (KB914388) Security Update for Windows 2000 (KB917537) Security Update for Windows Server 2003 for Itanium-based Systems (KB917537) Security Update for Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition (KB917537) Security Update for Windows XP (KB917537) Security Update for Windows XP x64 Edition (KB917537) Security Update for Windows Server 2003 (KB917537) thanks!
  12. try going to RyanVM's homepage: http://ryanvm.net/msfn hope you find what you're looking for ... if not, perhaps you could request personally from RyanVM to provide you a link why not use the latest: 2.0.7a? http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/updatepack.html
  13. what's this supposed to mean? pls take no offense in what i posted ... it'd seem to me though that jmbattle's inquiry was about why remove cat file tickbox didn't work for him ... merely suggested other alternatives he could use ... incidentally, bledd suggested to me before to remove .CAT files too so as to prevent T-39 lock-up (an experience that bugged me for a long time)
  14. hi Mike! would there be updates to your good work? if i remember it correctly, the soure code was lost somehow or something, right? no luck in getting ah old of it again? hi Freakyboy! looking forward to this ... would it be much better? what other features are there? thanks!
  15. hi Tux! would be quite a labor to search for that ... wish you could post it so i can look a that & try it out ... he! he! @ lennierv, you may want to use this to create your .reg file: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=49320
  16. hi! i think jmbattle was referring to using nLite v1.0 to remove the .CAT files not the RVMintegrator ... indeed when the check box to remove .CAT file is still there ... strange though that it failed on you ... incidentally, removing these files may shorten (a bit) your installation time ... @ jmbattle, you may want to start from a fresh source ... btw, are you using modified/emptied SFC*.dll? another good application to use for removing .CAT files would be HFSLIP ... there's more to it than just that ... might want to try it
  17. hi! i actually noticed the same when setting shadow of icon labels to dsiabled ... shadows still show. not a biggie though
  18. ey ... looks like were nearing a new final ... except for new updates! yey! (Camarade_Tux --- Zidane & his to the "finals" too. Viva Frenchie! )
  19. to be fair (duh? ) the intent is good but the process is an entirely different story ... crappy! very costly MS-OSs yet with so many annoyances & intrusion ... a move to any open source OSs then?
  20. Kiki Burgh

    nLite 1.1

    more tweaks ...
  21. oh btw, XPize is indeed accepted much better this time (i.e., boot screen shows already) ... incidentally, there is already a newer ver: XPize 4.4.2 and i have already downloaded the latest test release 60704a
  22. Yes ... successfully slipstreamed those ... i used the older pack though to overwrite other files in the latest pack
  23. just want to report that EVERYTHING works WELL for me usign the current test rel ... no bugs i'm happy with my current builds ... 1 purely HFSLIPped & another nLited --- both posing no issue ... a final in the making (ha! ha! ... to early to tell ... others might still post some probs;))
  24. here's what i got from FDV when i asked him about the same concern
  25. alright ... didn't know it was dropped ... given that i am not currently using the update pack (as i've learned it quite the hard way --- that i should not include all hotfixes i could get my hands on --- as not all applies to my system ), then i'll just have to remove KB897338 (The new language locales that are included in update 897338 for Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs) from HF ... as for this ... either it makes my installation lock up at T-39 or T-9 when present --- not that it is a MUST to have but it frustrates me when i couldn't come up with a good build when this file is included either in FIX or HFEXPERT\APPREPLACEMENT dirs ... i have never been successful in any of my attempts --- would there be any workaround for this? i believe it works for the others but why not for me? thanks a lot again!
