  1. but their both Windows-KB890830-V1.19.exe could be good catch there antonio_king perhaps you could post the same in nLite forum ... & be sure to update us ... kindly TC/TP could this be? still?? odd ... just like what SM & I reported in HFSLIP, The 2K/XP/2K3 slipstreamer - August 10, 60810 works great for us ... still have to validate SP1 with Camarade_Tux
  2. might be a little late to report this but allow me to share that 60810 works well for XP SP2 had the chance to test it several times over the weekend
  3. hi SM! completely my bad about win media hotfix ... actually i noticed it after looking in the HF folder but was not able to post the correction rightaway & i was away for the entire weekend to correct it ... believe me, i was really eager to edit my post for that oversight but had no access to the web while i was away ... was in fact hoping that nobody would notice until i got back ... he! he! thanks for pointing that out
  4. thanks for the completion of the thought SM i was supposed to add some details to my reply but i was called for a quick meeting ... if i may add there are actually more than a couple of updates that has 917344 (i.e., win media player + WindowsXP-Windows2000-Script56-KB917344-x86-enu.exe) ... & if you have this you wouldn't have a need for KB917344 anymore
  5. hi! if i remember it correctly, these files have already been overwritten ... 890830 has a new ver (1.19) ...
  6. hi! i've tried both removing .CAT files & just leaving them in SVCPACK folders & they both work for me ... initially, i took the advise of Bledd: & it worked for me ... .CAT files are needed by SFC
  7. hi! i am new to this forum & i see there are about 20 pages that i must read 1st to see if my question might have already been answered somewhere ... i just like to know if this app would still require me to put in serial # to be able to use this great work? i looked at nero 7 & have decided to stay with 6.6.0.18 ... thanks! EDIT: i think this answers my question:
  8. try the latest final - version 60810 ... it supports all those hotfixes
  9. put wmp10.exe in HF so it gets slipstreamed ... put boogy's wmp11 in HFAAO .. yup technically that what happens ... 10 to overwrite 9 ... then 11 to overwrite 10
  10. hi maniaq! this may be something you might not want to consider but try slipstreaming WMP10 (via HF folder) 1st (+ of course the win media HFs) & then throw in boogy's WMP11 addon in HFAAO folder ... it worked for me! ... as for the codecs, use Tain's packs via HFEXPERT\CODECS or MSFN's codec pack in HFSVCPACK ... report back for results oh & it has nothing to do with the codecs ...
  11. hi troy! multi-booting is not actually what it is for ... it's for HotFixSLIPstreaming indeed it would be a nice feature but it could be a cause for bloat ... i completely agree with SM though that such is TP's &/or TC's call ... try to check on this link too: Multi-Boot CD/DVDs
  12. sorry haven't tried the latest yet ... i will soon enough ... thanks .. that was really fast don't you have the versions mixed up? as for me 60804 was good but let me try it with the posted new updates ... Tux & SM are back!
  13. does 60808 already support these? that fast?
  14. hi Camarade Tux! try not to recompress ASMS ...
  15. new work for HFSLIP ... for tommyp & Tomcat
  16. hi lennierv! mine too actually ... but please refer to this thread Visual Effects still not working?, Is it just me? for some clarifications ... hiope it helps!
  17. hi Tain! i show here that you're on-line ... let me just add that the files were newer in your pack ... i think divx & xvid files ...
  18. oops ... my bad ... i thought the same final was 60803 ... i didn't notice that 60804 is up ... at least i was able to find some workaround through my builds
  19. hi Tain! just a quick update ... i actually tried to just double-click codecs2.8 & it tried to over-write some files that were newer ... tried also in new build & files play great ... although please know that i haven't had the chance yet to fully test using GSpot ... so i would not want to jump to conclusions again
  20. You're very much welcome ... just returning the favor to those that i learned from the very same helpful bunch who have continuously helped me ... us ... been wanting to be able to help too ... frequent HFSLIP alright
  21. can we just leave boot.bin in HFTOOLS for the ISO to be created? or do we just leave bbie to extract it from a cd source? i actually have done a lot of ISOs over the weekend experimenting on boot.bin & boot.img but i suppose i only tried without it & leaving the source OS CD in the drive for the ISO to be created ...
  22. hi TC! i actually exprimented on boot.bin & boot.img over the weekend ... with these files (and/or) in HFTOOLS folder ... no ISO was created ... no wonder the cmd file finished faster ... but when i took those 2 out with bbie & mkisofs still in HFTOOLS & leaving the original source CD in the drive, boot.bin was recreated & ISO was created as well ... as for the presence of the boot.bin there, i have never removed since i 1st used HFSLIP ... i got curious because of the posts i read prior to taking my days-off from work oh btw, this was using 60803 ... i'll ask related questions in the appropriate thread: ISO creation fails with 60803
  23. ey ... kinda got lost there ... i'll second what Super-Magician didn't notice this all along ... i always create an ISO via HFSLIP to test it with other ISO created by another app ... maybe because i don't touch anymore my HFTOOLS folder which has it there (actually there's a .bin & .img there ... probably because i used to have mkisofs & cdimage both in the folder) ...ah ... just the same ... i was right ... a new final!
  24. test release has been kinda quiet recently ... ... looks like all's fine
  25. alright sir ... thanks for the reply Siginet ... this clears it!
