TC this is great! i had no problem running the script ... had to read the entire thread for info when all i had to do was just double-click the cmd ... he! he! hi S3pHiroTh! thanks ... tried it already earlier (although i haven't created an iso yet to see the change in my iso's usual size) & here's what i found out: Original files DOTNETFX.EXE (23698KB) NDP1.1sp1-KB867460-X86.exe (10453KB) NDP1.1sp1-KB886903-X86.exe (1541KB) dotnetfx2.exe (22960KB) NDP20-KB917283-X86.exe (755KB) NDP20-KB922770-X86.exe (2227KB) dotnetfx3.exe (51534KB) msxml6-KB927977-enu-x86.exe (889KB) OUT1 DNF11.exe (11237KB) DNF20.exe (38896KB) DNF30.exe (24876KB) OUT1 (Compressed 13) DNF11_30.exe (72253KB) just some clairifications... given this setup, dotnet1 & 2 would install before 3 this one calls for placement in HFGUIRUNONCE, right?(1) having this in _SNM.ini: MERGE_FRAMEWORKS=13 only produced DNF11_30.exe in OUT1 ... but i've seen while the script was running that it processed dotnet2 ... where'd it go? merged w/ dotnet3 1st before merging 1 & 3? (2) what happens to those installers/add-ons that are in HFAAO/HFSVCPACK/HFSVCPACK_SW & depend on dotnet3 which is still installed during GuiRunOnce? they would not be installed then, correct? what could be the workaround for this? (3) if i'd use only the merged (13) silent installer (still to be placed in HFGUIRUNONCE, right?), what happens to installers/add-ons in HFAAO/HFSVCPACK/HFSVCPACK_SW which depend on either dotnet1 or dotnet2? thanks!

hi! for those who replied i just wanted to share that still my issue has not been resolved yet ... tried to see if it had something to do with grounding if the tower standed on marble floor ... no avail ... but just like before system boots alright when Sempron is in the system ... oh well ... thanks!

hi TC! i'm going to try this over the weekend may i just ask, how big would the files be after creation & how many mbs are added to the final iso? since dotnet3 cannot be installed at t-13, happens to silent installers/addon requiring it ... does it mean that these should be installed in GUIRunOnce ... calling for these to moved over to HFGUIRUNONCE? of course, i'm using HFSLIP to do this ... he! he! (probably crying out loud that it's best to use these outputs in HFSLIP! )

(there have been other updates beyond Oct 11 ) (2) for this thread which has 70 pages now, downloading the file in any format gets cut on the 50th page ... (3) as for the file size, it downloads only until 867kb using ie6.0.2900.2180 ... same is true for firefox any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

hi gentlemen! ... what i discovered in one of my runs today was odd ... i tried Homer_m's suggestion on a clone desktop machine with a Dell OEM XP SP2 issued for a portable ... by simply copying winnt.sif found in i386 of the cd & placing it in FIX ... and it worked --- preactivated OS! install test was done in a VM so i've yet to burn & test it on a real machine ... strange ... i understand that our CMD copies everything from the SOURCE to SOURCESS ... & this includes winnt.sif residing in i386 directory ... however installing the build without prior placement of winnt.sif in FIX requests for activation upon hitting GUI ... now i'm confused ... i will try to do the tests again to duplicate this ...

i think Siginet's addon is more geared for use in nLite & RVMIntegrator not even a shortcut gotcha! maybe we should put this & any similar info in Important things to know section thanks for testing TC ... really appreciate it! i also got that error ... i was informed by ricktendo64 to include the following files: KB918997 & VAIO XP Build #2 (this is their project of porting vista to xp) ... as of my 2nd run still no go will do ... although this was already resolved by moving the files to the correct directory ... completely my bad ... sorry. will try this moving these .msis to HFGUIRUNONCE ... although they would install after OS install ... ok already downloaded it ... have requested 7zip support before ... granted! .... & now requested for .rar support ... granted too! thanks much! i thik we are nearing a final ...
