  1. I can't beleive how politically correct we have to be here in Canada. I wrote on the chalk board at school on Thursday, "Merry Christmas" and the teacher told me to erase it because its politically correct. So I said "Screw politically correct, it's a slap in the face to US Canadians".I'm so sick of it, so, let's all say Merry Christmas! Ha! Ha!HAPPY HOLIDAYS then!
  2. wow! i like the new changes introduced in the forum after the very recent site maintenance! ... new look for 2007!
  3. ey tain! mee too ... even if bigger, it was much easier to view users PS: our codec project has been quite silent
  4. hi whitehorses! attachment ain't here ... signature pop ups shouldn't be there if modified SFC files were disabled ... & .cat files deleted ... see if this info helps ... from: http://www.vorck.com/hfslip.html and from: http://www.vorck.com/2ksp5.html from HFSLIP cmd instruction: ... use of custom version of sfc.dll, sfc_os.dll or sfcfiles.dll may prevent the numerous prompts you're getting ... oh well, i know you already know these ...
  5. ***BUMP!*** hi nuhi! help here please ... thanks!
  6. just thought i'd take time to squeeze this in MERRY CHRISTMAS & PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR TO ALL HFSLIP USERS WORLDWIDE! ... we've been serious all this time ... but certainly having fun too! more power to HFSLIP!
  7. hi kris33! look for Last_Session.ini from your burned CD ... this file is generated to reflect modifications you have made using nLite ... attaching this file is required when posting issues
  8. thanks RaGhul! i acutally thought along the same line ... of requesting for this to be stickied since there have quite a lot of similar missing files posts ... at least we could just have it in 1 place ...
  9. hi leos? if i am not mistaken this is not supported ... this update is for Windows XP Embedded with Service Pack 1 ... try to see too if discussion here would be of any relevance: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=89346 ... which specific OS are you using? please post your HFSLIP.log ...
  10. thanks for sharing your find kenlau! this should shed additional light on the topic ... i actually found out about the 2 different keys ... i just couldn't recall though the exact result when i tried using the 1 declared in the winnt.sif (please know i didn't use the default winnt.sif) ... if memory still serves me right, when the part for the product key came up, it still prompted for the product key (despite it being already declared in the revised winnt.sif) ... as for integrating IE7, there shouldn't be a problem as OEM OS is considered legit ... have you exhausted the special instructions outlined in Important things to know -- please read!?

I'm sorry, I can't do that ......... the information is classified TOP SECRET. KiKi's 'people' would hunt me down like dog if I talked. ha! ha! glad to know you have partially addressed your concern ... EDIT: btw, i don't know if this could be a possibility (as the "find" by Tux was for XP ... he uses HFSLIP then nLite for reducing his source) but you might want to consider (topic is about d3dx* files): still needs confirmation ...
  12. thanks Ver Greeneyes! perhaps i just wasn't paying too much attnetion to this

    @ Quisquose ... PMd you!
  15. hi! this topic is all over the place ... so far from the 1st page alone the following are the topics i have found to be similar ... discussing about relatively the same thing: (1) after running nlite, a few files are missing from the root folder, setup.exe, autorun.inf, etc (2) Yet Another Missing Files Issue (3) Missing file & unregistered fixes after winxp install (4) a lot of files missing ehen using nlite i am certain there are still others ... perhaps, we can post all of the related concerns in 1 place so as to minimize redundancy of discussion ... likewise, it would help others with the similar concerns ... lastly, it'll ease nuhi's response in 1 consolidated thread please don't take any offense as none is intended ...
  16. hi nuhi! my apologies for asking ... however, would there be a specific portion for "Keep Manual Install? thanks!
  17. ... not sure about this assumption ... but did you use nLite for instance in creating your earlier build? this might have been the case, especially if you removed some components affecting KB816093, specifically Microsoft Java runtime ... how about your Java6 (add-on perhaps)?
  18. hi Bleser! just wondering, you might have automatically reloaded your Last_Session.ini if yoo did use nLite before (where you might have removed some components including IE core) ...
  19. hi Bleser! precisely the use of disabling SFC! ... should you like more info, you may want to give any or all of these a try: might likewise help if you delete .CAT files ...

hi Quisquose! what do you mean HFSLIP doesn't work? perhaps you should post you concern about HFSLIP here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=129 ... also, i have never encountered members claiming likewise for users of both nLite & RyanVM's pack ... much so HFSLIP ...
  21. hi! may i just clarify ... are these still required: or do i take the latter: ... my apologies if i got this mixed up, but please correct me if i misunderstood ... do i still need to do some downloads as instructed in the what i quoted 1st? could hfnetchk_3.86.0.1.exe be placed in 1 of the directories (i.e., HFTOOLS) for integration? thanks!
  22. hi silrocks! aside from your find, you might want to check these out too: (1) HFCheck (2) HFNetChk ***better yet this: (3) HFNETCHK.zip or HfNetChk 3.86.0.1 ... official website is here
  23. hi Keyser Soze! i think you can by utilizing the "keep files" portion
  24. i may be wrong but when i committed the same mistake about host & VM having the same PC name, it should have complained while running the setup ... this was perhaps in a couple (among multiple) runs where i didn't use winnt.sif ... glad to hear you have resolved it already
