  1. this would be nice! btw, would it be possible to include notes on files that will be removed so as to warn users if certain windows components require it? thanks!
  2. been brave enough ... been doing this all along ... if it's not switchless, indeed at T-13 all prompts come up (NOTE: for those who try this too ... more suited for XP ... & don't reboot when prompted ) thanks TC for making this official!
  3. 2K doesn't support wmp10 ... yup you need to slipstream MPSetup.exe, as well as wmfdist.exe
  4. ha! ha! i stand corrected! i didn't know about this ... perhaps i missed out on this very important announcement thanks!EDIT:found it ... newly introduced!
  5. i've downloaded it but have yet to try when i hopefully could already create new ISOs ... hopefully soon (as since my sys crashed, i have been able to even participate neither in the test releases nor in the recent finals)
  6. hi daddydave! not all MSIs are supported by HFSLIP ... i have the foldersize.exe too ... what i did was create a silent installer so it installed perfectly ... another option you might want to try, although undocumented is to place that in HFSVCPACK & it install too (well for XP that is ... just don't know if 2K would be just as accommodating)
  7. looking forward to that ...
  8. thanks! (unrelated: look at my avatar ... ain't that a nice bis smile S-M also has his now ... TC & TP, how about yours ... oh just for fun? )
  9. uhm ... i see ... never encountered the prob i guess since i've been integrating XPize since the start you might want to try to do it using HFSLIP ... link may seen from my sig
  10. missed this important part!
  11. hi suta! rebuild & do not remove anything ... i'm certain you wouldn't encounter the same problems
  12. incidentally, i found another way of doing by Find Member's Posts as may be seen from the attached pic
  13. hi gugutz! it's not Xpize: i think it has to do with some updates (i'm not certain though but this could be culprit: IE6.0sp1-KB918899-Windows-2000-XP-v2-x86-ENU.exe if slipstreaming in XP SP2) ... other reasons could be addons that you might have included in your build (this is very common) ... try to create a build that does not contain any addon & see your mileage ... sysoc.inf entries usually is related to this error ... look at this MS article too ... and this: Framedyn.dll and Srclient.dll missing
  14. maybe this thread would help: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=89231&st=0 ... specifically, this: hope you find the following discussions helpful too so as to minimize prompts or prevent WFP & SFC from bothering you: (1) OEMScan - Automated Multi Manufacture Pre-Activation Utility (2) Building a Pre-activated CD from an existing installation (3) Trouble with slipstream Dell OEM Win XP (4) advantages of disabling SFC, and the disadvantages. likewise, to quote: ... it'd help too if you delete .CAT files just to share, this info i have always find useful: ... use of custom version of sfc.dll, sfc_os.dll or sfcfiles.dll may prevent the numerous prompts you're getting ...
  15. ey Tux! thanks for this but this ain't what i was pointing at ... the sample you provided may be done within the specific thread (i.e., HFSLIP alone) ... i'd like to know if it would be possible to have some drop-down like the pic i attached but this time from the main forum page so as to see all my posts in different threads (i.e., from HFSLIP, from Site & Forum Issues, from Hardware Hangout, from XPize, ... etc) ... this would be essential i guess if i forgot that i have posted an inquiry in some other thread that i do not frequent
  16. sorry this took so long ... almost forgot my inquiry here ... he! he! everything prints out A-ok now! are we going to have a .pdf version of this anytime soon btw? no rush ...
  17. hi! i was wondering if it could be possible to view topics 1 has replied to/started from the main forum page so as to determine which those would be if from different threads ... something like the attached to be an option from: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php ... there would be instances where one could have forgotten due to posts in different threads? thanks!
  18. how is this going? checked the website http://bhs.gwmfiles.com/forum & couldn't find this
  19. hi billytcf! you can use HFSLIP to do so ... it fully supports installation of Repair Console ... try it

    Happy new year

yup ... have a prosperous 2007 to all XPize users!
  21. hi ob1kenob! welcome to HFSLIP! maybe you need to attach the following files (as i always do, most specifically if you use addons): HFSLIP.LOG, DOSNET.INF, HFSLIPWU.INF, SVCPACK.INF, SYSOC.IN_, TXTSETUP.SIF for TC & TP might require it too ...
  22. ha! ha! i always rename this myself too after before finalizing the ISO!
