form bios set the pc to boot off the cd drive and insert the windows installation cd. restart and voila! PS. you also will be given the choice to repair the previous installation of windows. however, that sounds more of a hardware problem than a software one.
I'm running x64 without problems. maybe some files got corrupted durind download. try a new download and fresh install. also, did you format the partition and do a clean install?
you need to associate those types of files with picture and fax viewer. to do so, when prompted to "open with..." say chose program (picture and fax viewer in your case) and tick the box that says "always use this program to open this type of files".
Apparently I had to specify under primary DNS the IP of the ISP server, not the IP of my router. Strange, since under windows xp media center the DNS was identical with the gateway...
