  1. I've got everything on the windows partition but regularly back up my documents onto another partition in case windows becomes corrupt. as for programs they would need to be reinstalled, so here i agree with sonic.
  2. First off back up all your data on a dvd or spare hdd then format your current windows and do a fresh install. after that you can transfer back all your files off the dvd or the spare hdd. good luck!

  4. uncheck the box where it says "shutdown the pc after scan is complete". I'm using bitdefender internet security too. Nice piece of software, ain't it?

  7. the pci has nothing to do with micro-atx. i've got a micro-atx mobo in another rig and put a lan card without problems. maybe your lan card is ISA.
  8. are you in a local network? if yes, ask your network administrator to tell you the time on the server.

  12. seems like a transfer problem between the hdd and the motherboard. upgrade the mobo / chipset drivers. or maybe the hdd is pointing out that it's dying.

  16. make sure they are in the same workgroup amd the same ip class but with different addresses (ie: 192.168.x.x, 192.168.x.y). share the resources you want and enable netbios over tcp/ip. also, to play games you will need to install the ipx/spx protocol on both machines. voila!
  17. Is the internet working on both machines? Have you shared the resources? Are the machines in the same ip class and same workgroup?
