  1. actually, its a folder. When I use unlocker it says no program is blocking it and unlocker can delete it, when I press delete, it still gives the acces denied error...
  2. I want to delete a bunch of files, but it says I don't have acces to them, tho I'm administrator and have no limits to the computer usage. How can I delete these? Thx! EDIT: I tried in dos with rmdir etc... didn't work either...
  3. thanks guys, now I know all I need to know
  4. I bought a pc in a store, it already had winxp Home installed on it, now I was wondering, if I format and reinstall with the cd brought with the new pc, is it still legit? thx!
  5. so, what would be best then? Repair install or something else?
  6. I did,I ran a virus scan, spyware/adware scan, I even checked with microsoft's tool for deleting malware. They all give nothing bad.
  7. well, it can't be a user problem, beacause all users have it. Now I can only boot in safe boot, if I start windows normally, nothing will open :s
  8. I had that problem with Bit Defender 9.0, just uninstalled it and everything was back to normal
  9. Windows XP isn't working quite properly anymore, sometimes when I boot, I see no errors but nothing will start, like ie, MSN, and other apps. Other times it works just like it should. Now, I was thinking of doing a repair installation and I was wondering if it removes all documents and settings/installed apps? thx! Title edited -- Please, use [TAGS] in your topic's title. 11. I got it. It was a broken sound registry. I fixed it with K-lite codec pack tools... thx anyway
  12. Is there a way to reset the boot.ini file? I downloaded stylexp and that kinda messed up my boot.ini file. Now I have 2 bootmodes which are identicly the same. I kinda wanna reset it thx.
  13. the value is .current
  14. well, it's been a while I think because you don't instantly notice it. I don't have any malware/spyware/viruses, just ran a check for that. I'm admin, like other users...
