well okay better yet lemme explain what i'm trying to do i've perfect disk installed, it has 2 services and 1 exe to get it running. services: pdengine pdsched executable: perfectdisk.exe starting the app: check if pdsched is running, if its running do nothing, else start the service check if pdengine is running, if its running do nothing, else start the service check if both services are running if so then start the executable if its not already running. stopping the app: net stop pdengine /y net stop pdsched taskkill /f /im perfectdisk.exe now the stopping part is easy but i've problems on the starting part, can anyone help? thanks

i've the same ones checked as well, msn 6-7 opens the links in IE maybe u did something else?

it doesn't work on my opera, i've tried it many times but msn, i think is hard coded or something, it always opens up internet explorer..

hi there is there such utility that will check if a service is running via command prompt? so it'll check the memory for running services, also is there a program to check for running apps via command prompt? well i've actually found some programs but how can i modify them so that they return 0's 1's or true false etc.. 1 tool from sysinternals psservice. thanks

did u try uninstalling acdsee as well? which version of acdsee 7 r u using? there is an update i think its build 61 hmm, wierd u've went to acdsee forum yet u registered with msfn and ask it here? why not ask it in acdsee forum????

evga i dunno about that, nvidia have it on their site and they keep sending me buy evga cards etc. but i dunno if its real good. u could get western digital 10.000rpm raptor 37 or 74gb, price is higher but its faster if u're crazy about it, then get a 160gb another hdd at 7200rpm if u're building this for gaming get 1gig ram, these days 512 is not enough. if i was buying this i'd be stuck at whether to get amd or intel, i'm using athlon xp 2500+ and its pretty good but i dunno how the new athlons are compared to the 3.4ghz 2mb cache intel's.. u might want to check tomshardware for comparisons, that's what i'd do.

pcie is pci express its a new slot for your motherboard which has higher bandwidth than AGP slot, u can sort of assume where agp max is 8x pcie is like 16x. so its a new technology... i think u should look at some stores in iran and see which one's are avaliable, then decide... and what are the prices like in there for 9800 & 5900?

1. add this to httpd.conf or 2. press [shift] and right click to any of the php files, choose [open with] and then select IE. or open a folder go to tools go to folder options go to file types type PHP in there click on advanced click on new type the action name like "open in IE" beneath that click on browse and browse to IE and click ok after that u can set it to default if u want it to be the default action..

well here is what i think: just give it back as it its right now. if its the mis dept its kind of their job to deal with these. u could just blame windows i'm very very sure they'd have a ghost image or something and it won't take much to bring back the laptop back..

well nowadays ppl say that there isn't much need for 256mb, i personally got 256 bc i've decided not to buy another graphics card for a long while. but if u read reviews not so much difference in 256/128. the price difference is not only dependant on the mb, i don't exactly know what u're referring to but last i checked 128mb ones had less pixel, slower core, ddr2, smaller fan stuff like that. first thing u'll realize between the specific models of a brand is the card's memory and core clock. SE's slower, GT's better, Ultra's much more better. but ppl easily overclock the SE's & GT's to get ultra's performance at the cost of buying a cooler and probably some stuff else... ask the guys over tomshardware's community (forum), they're the guru's

my suggestion is to uninstall software. it might sound wierd to u but i've recovered like that from a similiar state. also as for spyware and virus, get boot time virus check and use spybot and let it run at startup. its always a good idea to look at start-up items as well as looking at running processes. i suggest u take a look at http://www.sysinternals.com and download process explorer and autoruns. process explorer: is a nice utility that's like the taskmanager but more advanced. autoruns: it obtains all those start-up items even for those who hide theirselves.. if u don't which one to delete which one to keep post your results, both programs have save ability, so u can save the running processes and startup items to a text file and post here.. but as i said uninstall some stuff. after that use a reg cleaner. i use registry first aid 3

hmm seems right what about shareaza? did u set the connection port to 6346? also maybe, i highly doubt so but maybe your isp blocked it or something i dunno u can always put another port in there, i don't have problem with shareaza but with torrent & azureus some servers don't accept the default 6881 port so i've changed it.. so u can always change the incoming port...
