u could try %userprofile%\local settings\Temporary Internet Files\ then after that u can delete the cookies. i dunno which one's u'd like... alternatively u can reg query to get [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders] "Cache"="d:\\Documents and Settings\\Administrator\\Local Settings\\Temporary Internet Files" and work from there...

its a very stupid one, a friend of mine had suggested it, i'm not going to take any suggestions from him again u probably never heard of it, neither had i, its e-con brand 4 port..wired router crap also functions as modem. i'm not able to connect my comp to the dsl box bc it doesn't exist this hardware does both, modem + router +etc.. i've just realized when i don't dl anything and when i tracert any website it shows around 30ms but when i dl a file it goes up to 500-1000ms. i dunno what the hecks up with that.

i don't think u need to go back to older versions just uninstall and reinstall..

hi there, yea its a wierd question this is what I mean. my internet's has slowed down in the past week, i'm trying to find the reasons behind it, thinking it might be due to my comp, its probably bc of isp but anyways i tried tracert www.yahoo.com and first thing i realized is that it takes around 30ms to ping my router. i think that's f'ed up, so i'm wondering what ppl get pings from their routers, when i actually ping it i get <1ms but when i tracert any website it takes 30ms. whereas i think it should be not that bad, i'm already planning on getting a wireless router but i haven't really decided, so this might be another reason to switch so thanks for your helpfull comments just tracert any website and tell me the results u get from your routers ip, mine's 10.0.0.2, most ppl will have 192.168.1.0 etc.. thanks

i've never ever seen such a thing, i'm using flashget since v .3. my files never got overwritten, simple (1) is appended...and i didn't mess with that rename option, so its using the defaults...

ok seriously why don't u try opera/firefox till u get your ie problems straight. ow u've switched to ff already, okay good then take out your unattended setup cd out try the "reset web settings" under programs in internet properties & restore defaults on advanced. but what i'd do is, i'd go to my temp folders (ie temp & temp) and delete all the files & disable the system restore, check for viruses and spyware. or hmm i remember seing an option in a tweak program to fix this letme check.. ow and use a registry cleaner and check for problems!.

hmm he's the "proper" way of doing it, talk to your neighbour, but u've already passed that, but u can change the settings if u still have access to his router and get the settings back and then talk him/her to change the settings or just live with it, i dunno what u've changed but if its something that'll require ppl to enter passwords to access to the internet or something they're more than likely to realize it, though i don't think they'd ever think that its a neigbhour who changed it so afaik u're okay, i'm not sure if its ethical though
