i've used r-studio nfts recovery.. it got all my files back but my partition table was fubar i've recovered all my files, but u need another hdd bare that in mind.. also acronis utilities have recovery as well. they claim that they are able to recover even after couple of hard formats...

hi there since i've removed media player with nlite and since i've just found out that media player classic cannot play asx files i'm looking for a player that can open streaming asx files, i'd like to listen to a radio thanks..

defrag, check for spyware & virus alternative startup modification program autoruns from http://www.sysinternals.com its pretty good and free, also u can have a look at metaproducts startup organizer.. which is not free... bootvis does help also u know XP has a cache control called "prefetch" delete the items in there... if u've installed many programs and uninstalled many programs refer to a registry cleaning program then defrag your registry.. (i use registry first aid to check..) etc....

well its pretty normal for xp to say 232gb, wait is that a typo, 232MB? if its mb u've some problems but if its gb its pretty normall can u post a screenshot of what the error is? also is your computer 64bit xp enabled? i mean your hardware... if u're going to resize your partition i highly recommend u to first defragment your hdd and check your hdd for errors, if u don't do those you'll lose lots of information... try another program maybe? acronis partition xpert?

well many things are being done, help funds are raised, rescue teams have been sent, i know planes have been sent out to couple of areas to rescue turkish ppl to the areas where landing is possible, i dunno what else they'll be doing, the newpaper says that our rescue team will only be assisting when needed (political crap i believe), its not easy to send air support, i think close by countries should send supplies and medical support. turkey reported 41 missing and around 2500 alive. use memcheck to check the rams i have experienced this problem it was okay after changing to 80pin it appeared all of a sudden. i dunno.. but get mem check also 1 other thing i think i had created a 8mb partition at the beginning of the hdd, thinking it might be defected.. well whatever it was its working now. sorry i cannot give u "do this and it'll be okay" kind of exact answer bc i run into lots of problems and do several things, but well try these

couple of things i could say 1. a 40pin cable sometimes causes that (disk boot), yea it does! 2. a bad ram might be causing the crash but not the disk boot, so get a 80pin ata cable.. also if i were u i'd increase the system fan speed. is he/she using amd?

regsvr32 /s nameofthefile.dll will help u but i don't know which dll they're talking about..

@red_house he's icons are not the problem.. his associations are messed up. i had that problem though i don't remember how i got rid of it, but just to make sure, those 2 programs above won't help u...

heh no downloads from acrobat pack & .net 1.1 sp1 as of yet hope someone at least is downloading the update pack i'm going to remove those files soon....btw edit: i've removed the .net 1.1 sp1 bc it exist on msfn server.... check unattended guide.... edit2: okay its been a while since i checked adobe's website. 7.0 is released. so i'm removing 6 as well....

hi there i've been using quicklaunch and i've many things in there, i'll post screenshot later but anyways they're causing delays, and eating from ram so i'm switching to the start menu here's what my startmenu looks like my question is (u can also see from the picture): can we add "pin" programs to the right of the menu as well, like its done on left pane? that screenshot of the start menu is a shrinked version, so i'm using many apps in left pane... so don't get fooled that it looks so short, the right pane looks so dull when left is full of programs.... (yea i've recently formatteded ) thanks...

I hope everyone's doing fine in parts of Asia and Africa. I've been watching the news all day/night. its an horrible incident. many ppl across the world were in those areas for vacation and whatnot purposes. so this incident it world-wide incident. i've seen ppl stating that they didn't have warning system bc the probabilities of such a thing happening was very low, well it happens and u've to take pre-cautions. 1 thing i'm wondering, what happenes to the submarines and aircraft carriers or i mean what happens to those huge ships in those areas? anyone have any news on them? i hope everything will be all right.

yes i use roboform as well when i'm on ie, i haven't seen any pop-ups and its a pretty good program. i think its more advanced than the built-in ones of opera and firefox....

create a shortcut to your executable file then go to the properties of that shortcut in the target box add the command at the end of it. sometimes it'll complain and if u get an error in there just remove the quotation mark or add them..
